.

He made ~2100 HP with a SBC.
I'm sticking it on a 557" BBC, so I hope to make decent power once we learn the alcohol injection system??

Stealth, do you mean puke tanks for the blow by??
I don't think a PCV would do much on a boosted combo??
Plus I never do anything that contaminates the charge on a performance application!!

I have a 3-fitting can from Lashway. It's OK. It involves 3 check valves. One line from the intake manifold to either the left or the right fitting, one line from the blower inlet to the "other" fitting previously mentioned. The third goes from the PCV to the center fitting.

Under vacuum, the intake manifold is providing the vacuum to evacuate the crankcase via the PCV valve. The vacuum is also holding the check valve closed on the line headed to the blower inlet.
Under boost, the check valve on the intake manifold line is closed, and the vacuum from the blower inlet takes over to evacuate the crankcase.

Essentially, you're just switching back and forth between vacuum sources to prevent pressurizing the crankcase.

Be sure the line from the intake manifold to the can is dedicated! (Don't tee into another line). If you do this...whatever device/gauge you have on the same line will end up reading incorrectly. Lashway didn't know about this...I discovered it. Luckily, all I had hooked up to it was a boost gauge. If I had meth injection and went under boost like this...my meth never would have kicked in, and would have caused major issues.

There is also a way to use a standard 2-fitting can. All you do is put a tee on the vacuum side, and run those lines individually to the intake manifold and blower inlet. Use 1 diaphragm-type check valve for each line, and make sure they oppose each other (so when one is pulling vacuum, the other is closed, and vice-versa). I have not done this, but it will work in theory.

Hope this helps.

That F3 reminds of the portable leaf blowers they use for parking lots, little wonder's they're called...

.

It doesn't look like much by itself, but it is definitely bigger then my foot, as you can see??

I'm not trying to get after it this year, but I would like to get it finished and go testing as soon as possible.
I need to run 6.80's to guarantee I'll qualify 95% of the time.
Then I would like to try and do some 1/8th mile stuff, and shot for 4.10's in the 1/8th.
I don't think I can afford to go any quicker, even with a 3.99 being so close!!

I'm no expert, but I have been studying and asking a lot of guys,
and all but one said there is no reason to waste time on anything except a simple puke tank.
My plan is dual -12 lines from each valve cover to a small ventless can next to the fuel cell.
Then a 1 1/2" line to the main puke tank in the back under the wing with plenty of vents.
Now maybe it's because I'm at 2000 ish HP, but the experts I asked said a PCV, vac pump or evac system is not going to help??

Good luck.

I just got my car all back together with the aster bracket, def a nice piece. My question is what pullie combo do u think I be running to get 10psi on my P1sc-1 blower. I'm running the larger 7.65 crank pulley and a 3.7 blower and only seeing 5psi, any input would be nice. Also I still need to go over everything and check for boost leaks

How much boost the blower can produce depends on many variables.
* Cubic inch. The larger the engine the less boost it will make with a supercharger.
* Headers and exhaust. A better flowing system will produce less boost, requires a smaller pulley to regain the loss in boost. Ultimately though, more power will be gained.
* Camshaft and heads. A camshaft with some overlap will leak out some boost through the valves. Better flowing heads react a lot like a better flowing exhaust system.
* Altitude. Elevation plays a big part in how much boost is produced. Those people living in the higher elevations have to spin the blower harder to see boost.
* Condition of engine. An engine with real good sealing rings will ultimately produce more boost than one with worn rings.
* Rpm. An engine that is spun up higher in the rpm range will normally produce more boost.

5 psi with the 3.70 pulley seems really low, but we really need more info to be able to help you out. Bob

Hey Bob,

Are you guys more of a street type blower dealer, or do you also do stuff like mine also,
2000+ HP, alcohol, 16 injectors, 30-40 lbs of boost, etc etc??

I would be looking for a boost leak. You should be making more boost than that unless you're up in a higher elevation. Bob

Just let me know what you need and I'll see what I can do to help you out. During the early Spring rush it can get pretty hectic for many of the performance companies. I have orders going out from ProCharger on a daily basis, and most of them get out the door right away. Thanks. Bob
