Default My Latest T56 casualty

if you have a high HP car with a T56, get used to looking at **** like this:

This is the guts out of my last one.... finally took it appart since I had some spare time
input shaft/4th gear and the cluster have been destroyed as you can see... this has happened before a hand full of times.
sucks because the cluster is the most expensive part in the trans, $600 just for that piece lol.

I am going to fix this so I can put it into my 94, the TA is missing 3 gears now

that looks like the input shaft and counter shaft decided to tear each other apart. I'm not sure if the straight cut synchros would help too much. His car is making big power.

http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=11

At 809 rwhp in this GTO with a six speed, we snapped the pinion gear off the nine inch at this years LSX Shootout on it's first launch.

We got it back together and broke the output shaft in the transmission. Rodney at RPM Transmissions replaced the 27 spline shaft with a 32 spline shaft. How long it will last is anyone's guess at this horsepower level. Bob

rolling into it , not WOT, only at about 8 psi when it failed, ~800 rw. Was leisurely acellerating through the geears, it was no big deal. I was beside myself it broke like that, but it obviously had to have been damaged/weakened prior and just let go at that time.

Why didnt you put a 4l80e in it? Could have gotten one built for a great price from the guy that did MightyMouse and Cablebandit's cars.

Seems like every damn car in Houston is being built for these events. I need to workout my kinks and see what I can lay down at these events.

He doesn't have to roll race anymore now that he has a real transmission.

LOL

Roll racing is unavoidable here in Houston. I can still race up to 180ish... lol
I do plan to hit the track more often now though... thats the reason I gave into the swap, want some good numbers.

LOL

you don't have to worry until you do a big power adder. 7-800 rw it will be fine
