Looks like youve been busy! I finsihed my Hyro boost brakes. Got to install lot more stuff. Keep up the good work. How hard is it to get the lines to feed oil to the turbo?

If you need to flow more air out of the hot side, plumb the wastegate to a 45 degree angle into the downpipe.
There seems like something could be screwy with the exhaust housing as well, so we can take that apart here sometime this week.

About what rpm were u seeing full boost? I wish u would have gotten it on the track or dyno to see how the holset did on the lsx. Which would u recommend for a 5.3? Or a 6.0?

good stuff in here.. glad you decided to buy a nice new turbo.
im currently collecting parts for my turbo build. ive built several boosted cars and what ive learned sometimes it just best to save the money and buy a good turbo. if you have a decent turbo to work from it usually makes the build that much less hassle. I bought a GT4202 for my build. I was an import guy built several high hp cars and got bored decided to try a turbo camaro since ive owned a couple.. i wish i would have known it was this easy to turbo a camaro i would have never messed with imports. heres a pic of my old civic.. made 586hp with a GT4094r planning on doing something crazy with my camaro bay..

very cool DIY build.
? where did you get the torque arm braket for you late 80s ford truck rear end? and the backbracing in you'r thoughts was is nessasary or just insurance?
and did I read correctly that only the cold side piping was a EBay kit?
lastly the FP regulator has a much better location now.

The tq arm bracket i got from quickperformance.com and the backbrace is just for a little more insurance. It was a neat project i thought i would try and conquer and started adding stuff like that to it.
Correct all the cold side piping is an ebay universal kit.

Dyno'd the car 2day... put down 540rwhp and 480rwtq!!!
While i was dynoing the car Sam Memmolo showed up and did a quick interview for his show "Motorhead Garage". It was great to meet him and to tell me i did a great job on the car.
I'll get a vid up of it when i get it from my friend

I still have my latch mounted to the body... there is a mount that goes to the bottom of the radiator still. it seems plenty sturdy.
