Turbo Time! holset H2C, Theee importkiller *PICS*
The car is a 98 camaro A4, 105K shortblock. I bought it 2 years ago WRECKED with a clean title. I bought it for what you can buy an LS1 for and planned on never driving it and putting the combo in my 88 RX7, but felt like tackling the body work. Last winter my project was doing all the body work and it came out a "great success"(borat voice) It was a cam only car before this build. It has a 233/239 .598/.603 on a 113 LSA cam in it. it made about 370rwhp and ran high 11's at the track.
My goal is to prove that it will be a reliable daily driver and make about 500-550 rwhp on 93. with a very cheap budget.
It will be done all by me in my 2 car garage.
Major parts list:
Holset H2C with a 26cm exhaust housing
317's with patriot extreme valve springs
233/239 cam(previously installed and ran)
dual 255 walbros
summit rails and fittings
siemen deka 60's
Greddy type RS BOV and OBX R 38 mm wastegate
Ebay 31-12.5-3" intercooler
Ebay 3" IC piping
JWIS C5R timing chain
Starting the tear down of doom
Lowered the radiator base and forward a little
tearing down for 317's
Got the ARP studs on and Oil drain to front cover
Got the pushers arranged. They are from Frozenboost.com, hope they'll do the trick
317's on and ready for boost!
K-member notched. Im an idiot and caught my brake line while cutting
Spohn Solid motor mounts installed. Planning on fitting a 4" downpipe through there
Hot side constructed and painted(VHT Flameproof, dont mind the welds)

progress is going well. got the hot side wraped and bolted up
This thing is LARGE, i had to straddle it between the water pump snout
IC piping coming up through where the battery and overflow tank would sit
I am having issues with this. what kind of flange is that? where can i find something to fit with that?

More progress of course
IC mounted and IC pipe plumbed for now
Greddy types RS, we'll see how this does
ABS delete and LL (SJM) Anybody have any extra info or write ups to help?
My crazy complex alt bracket. Sits low due to where i put my regulator.

Things still left to do:
- reinstall front bumper and cut for IC
- relocate battery to right rear compartment
- finish plumbing fuel lines to rails
- install dual pumps
- figure out PCV setup with oil catch can
- run lines from BOV, wastegate, fuel regulator and boost gauge to intake
- make 4" down pipe eventually
- Finish ABS delete and LL
- install turbo drain
- redo radiator hoses
- tuning!!!
How am i doing so far? feel free to give input and info about anything

Looks good man. I originally planned on building mine with a Holset HX55 but a guy offered to buy it from me for more than I paid for it so...
If I can remember right the HX55 weighed in at 49.5 lbs, I imagine the H2C is in the same neighborhood. Are you planning on bracing the turbo?
Also for the flange you were wondering about I'm pretty sure its a v band. I fit a 4" v band on the HX55 which is really 4.75 inches across, looks like the one you've got may be larger.
Good luck with the build.

is that ebay piping all stock piping or did you fabricate it in anyway to run it the way you did? do all the couplers and clamps seal tight? ive always had that ebay setup in the back of my mind for my future procharger setup

i was thinking that the flange for the down pipe looked to thick for a regular v-band, maybe i will have to call up or check out a diesel website for this sucker.
Thanks and good luck on ur neat build
