Chris and Kurt Sikora designed the bracket support, I'm just waiting for these pulleys to come in so they can work with that....I'm gonna have him do the FMIC in the fall too, they do excellent work........

I would just throw in the 57# injectors and not bother tuning the 42#'ers.

Thats what I'm thinking..............

I'm probably gonna have to end up shifting at 5500rpms, well.......we will find out......

But if Jer is seeing 14psi at 5200ish rpms, there is probably a 2psi difference at that sealevel........so I could potentially see 16psi at that RPM......hell I might have to shift at 5000, that will be nice and easy on the motor......

I talked to Lee today, he suggested I do the same tensioner deal that Jeremy did, since thats working, and my pulleys will be here in a week.......

I did the three washers per standoff and it moved the tensioner away from the idler and now it has clearance, with the tensioner being pushed up. I also added 2 longer bolts to the hex standoffs to get more bite in the standoff. The size is 10mmX40MM. They look a little long but when you get the washers on, it all goes up perfectly and there is probably more strength with the longer bolts going deeper into the standoffs.

BUT.... The crank cog isn't staying put, even with it torqued to 150lbft. On decel the crank cog slams back into the stock LS1 crank pulley spokes(5/16 dowels aren't fazed at all) You can hear it in the car when it happens, it is a loud "whack" and showed 11deg KR on EFIlive when it happened lol. The cogs are very unforgiving and I don't know if the dowels are going to cut it. I let Lee know of this, and he shares the same view of the dowels, he doesn't like it so he is working on a different way to get things to stay put. I will be heading to the shop today or tomorrow to get the crank bolt torqued down to 175 or 200lb ft, to see if it holds it still. But first I have to go to a body shop to get a quote, car got damaged last night in the snow

Bos do you have pics of that bracket that you had made to support the s/c? Will they make another one and how much? PM me if you don't want to post that up here.

No I haven't taken any pics, when I get it setup on the car I will make sure to take some and I will ask sikora what it will cost to get another bracket support made.....

Do you think I would be wasting my time with the stock pins that are provided jeremy?
Should I have lee drill out the pulley for 5/16 dowels before it gets sent? Let me know what you come up with because my pulleys haven't shipped yet and I would like to take care of the problem before they get here.........

If Lee does use the dowels for your set up, I am almost 100% positive that he will use the 5/16 dowels(I didn't have to request the 5/16 dowels on the second set of cogs, he put them in on his own ). He is working on a solution to getting it held in place better than using the crank bolt and dowels. So it *might be* incorporated into your set up. That is up to Lee to decide. He let me know today that he doesn't like the dowels and he is working on a better solution as we speak

Cool, thanks I would really appreciate the pics and if they would a bracket made up for me.
Thanks Bos,
Jeremy

Yea, I got an e-mail from him, they are going to be sent with the dowels, he said he is working on a prototype to solve the problem......hes going to keep me updated...

I told him I was willing to try anything, but maybe 200ft lbs of TQ will keep it in place a little better........we need a "strong" solution though.............

Hell yeah............ Im going to order mine after you recieve yours Bos. I cant wait to see how much we see at sea level.... my calculations show that with the crank cog being 7" and the blower being 3", 6500 rpm's will be perfect to spin our cars to. we will see 62,075 at the blower...... your 14psi @ 5400 rpm's.... damn maybe 18-20 psi can come from this kit.....Hopefully i dont really want to shell out the extra $$$ for an F-1 Head unit.

Hey BIGBOS I saw your car parked behind Speed Inc when I dropped off my car today for the new motor and trans. Mine was the nice clean red one with tinted windows about 3 spaces away from your Rockstar parking job.

Yea, I had it towed in there for the TH400 to go back in, got it rebuilt, got the stall up to a 4000 now, and I'm getting a 420Lph pump put in with some braided lines, doing this instead of the twin 340's........I guess thats what Speed is using on their shop car....

Hopefully the roads are nice and clear on monday so I can drive it back instead of tow it....we are supposed to get 8" on thursday....did I mention I HATE winter.....

I got 2 pictures of the blower off the car with the bracket support attached to it, I tried loading them in my webshots so we will see if they come up........if not I'll have to e-mail them to someone to put on here.......

They aren't very good pics because I was focused on getting a shot of the blower instead of the bracket, this was the time when I was trying to sell the kit.......but the support attaches right where the alternator is.......you will get the idea.........pics of it mounted on the car I should be able to get in a week or two all depending on how long it takes for them to get here........

Let me know if this link works, for some reason they show up here instead of me directly pulling up the link (I hate webshots)
