PSJ...

Ya I do need a 114LSA cam.. I'm sure that would help out with the numbers and boost. Love the sound of this cam though.

frcefed98 .. Ya I hoped I helped a little bit. Ask any question you need.. Plus with your cam and Bigger D-1SC, 12+ psi will be seen!! I had to rap my motor up to 6800 rpms to see 12 psi. I made my 602 RWHP at 6300 rpms and seeing just over 11psi at that rpm.

NA$TY-TA .. Ya only seeing 12 psi @ 6800 rpms which I never rap my motor up that high. Sure sounded sweet on the dyno though at those engine rpms. The motor & valvetrain can handle those rpms the blower can't. I believe the high altitude and my cam is hurting my boost. Altitude effects many things. For instance I took my car up to Rocky Mountain Nat park this last summer and at 12,000+ feet above sealevel my car felt freaking slow, and I only saw 5psi of boost at max rpm. The D-1SC won't provide me with the boost I want to see at this altitude with this cam. The ATI F1 is next on my list..

Rodent. Wazzzz up.. Good to see you last week. No I have not found a place to get the cogs belts in town, but I'm sure I can.. I need to talk to Clay 2fast4u2... He's got his car setup with cogs, and doesn't have as many issues as I do with my cogs setup. Although he's running a completely different bracket system than I am. I'm using the ATI supplied Blower bracket like everyone else is..

Talk to you guys soon..

I love it over here!!

Hugger, thanks for the offer, I just hope its smooth sailing from here on out, now that all the little stuff was figured out.
Kyle, sup buddy? Nope nothing, it'll probably be wed or thur, before I hear from them. I will wait on grinding the bracket until I get the new set up so I can gauge how much material has to come off.

If you're are looking for ultimate strength over appearance and corrosion resistance it's my opinion you should use an alloy steel instead.

Chromium-Molybdenum (4340): Tensile strength min psi:125,000

304 Austenitic Stainless Steel-Tensile strength min psi:90,000

I listed 304 because 50%+ of all stainless produced in the world is 304.

Your pins would have to be made of 410,416,NICU-K to be as strong or stronger than the 4340 steel.

I know these pins are loaded in shear. These figures still apply as percentage of strength in tension and shear are similar.

The SS is all the local bolt/fastener place had so I bought them, They told me that the SS was the stongest they carried. They had some other ones but they weren't SS and felt real light and the guy at the counter said they wouldn't hold up like the SS would, Do you know where you can get some of the dowels you are talking about? Let me know

Whats up Hugger, Nope nothing so far today I will have more pics as soon as I get the updated cogs here and mounted on the car. Waiting sucks

Bos, I hear ya, have you heard anything on yours?

XLR8NSS THAT LINK ROCKS, I now know where to find all my dodads for all my projects, I found them under fasteners. Shear rating of 11,000lbs.

Lerajie, They are 5/16-1inch, and how about the price on 5/16-1 1/4 too, BTW thanks man

I was out working on getting the HKS SSQ BOV mounted up, fits like a glove Thanks GMC SKI for the BOV!

one day I will figure out how to make a directory on my webpage so I can list all pics there.

Yep, I have a Grainger right down the street also. Another great place

Another great place to look for in your neighborhood is a local hydraulic hose/fitting supply. They have every fitting known to man and can make custom length crimped hoses also most of the time.

Hardened Steel Dowel Pins
My Cost:
5/16-1 $6.50 per 25
5/16-1 1/4 $6.50 per 25

single shear 130,000psi

The minimum order I can get is 25 pieces. This is from a local distributor. Unfortunately I can't get a hold of any places in your area willing to sell in small lots.

How many do you need?

Hi Bos, nope Lee said we'd have em next week but no promises. I told him that the sooner the better as I need to get the car back on the road. But he did say that they were being "cogged right now." so I guess thats a good thing.

Lerajie, I need 3 but 6.50 for a box isn't bad. For a local distributor did you try www.barnhillbolt.com thats where I get my hard to find fasteners. Pretty good guys to deal with. How much does a box weigh?
Thanks,
Jeremy

You need three of each or what? If that's all you need I might be able to just grab some for you.

I don't have a weight right now.

I'll take a look at the link you posted.
