Default EPP Blower Cam owners inside!

What length pushrods are you guys running?
Did you measure for them or just go by suggestion?
How is your valvetrain noise?

We have found the standard 7.40 length to work in most of the applications we have done. Bob

thanks Bob. Wondering if anyone else has measured to find or try anything a bit different at all. How is the valvetrain noise with this set-up and 7.4's you guys have noticed?

I use the 7.40 along with comp r lifters. The old comp r lifters lol, the valave train noise is like stock but with the rumble of a cam. I also use the patriot heads, Im sure the heads with the taller deck will require a different push rod. Oh and I use stock rockers lol

Did you measure at all for the 7.4's or just order and install? Thanks!

with this experience, why do you think it's a touch too much cam? Obviously it has quite a bit of duration for a 346. Do you notice driveability issues or nothing down low and power only up high or what's the deal? Enlighten please as I was about ready to pull the trigger here on it! Thanks in advance!

the cam works great! make a ton of power mid rang and pulles like a bear op top, drives as good as stock with the right tune, i say it just a touch to big because my tunner says that i am not using it to it best. you will love it, but as you have stated earler in here you would make just as much power with a Z06/ls6 cam with out the smell.......but no lope

7.4 would work my engine builder told be me but he said the 7.3's were a perfect match with the ls7 lifters and epp cam in LS1 at least in my setup.

straight up 7.300's? Seems like a HUGE jump from 7.400's.

I think the 7.3's were to obtain the correct preload on the lifters.

I've got a set of 7.3s if you need them Jonny, but it seems 7.4 is what everyone is using.

7.4's for stock LS1 lifters, 7.3's with LS7 lifters cause the cup on top of the lifter sits higher. And to stay in the desired range of preload that was exactly what I was told. Any body else?

Thanks Jeff, but I think I will just order up some 7.4's and give them a shot. If there is too much noise I will measure and go that route as they are easy enough to change. Thanks though! BTW, do you have a length checking tool?
