Ouch, $1500... I bet a sheet metal setup could be made for considerably less. I guess it wouldn't have the OE look to it though.

Not sure about that. Sheet metal intakes are pricey!

There was alot of research done on the inlet by LPE and it should be a good solution to the restriction of air getting to the supercharger. For $1500 if it is efficient like they claim in the testing and it produces 20-30 rwhp, that would be a great buy. We talked to Tim today about it on the release date and they say in a couple weeks it should be available to the public.

I agree with you that it is a good solution. What do you think lpe used when they started making their own?

It isn't an intake manifold, it is an inlet for the blower.

Only 600lbs of torque at 3200. You're right Prochargers don't have low end grunt.

Remember that boost is simply the amount of restriction, its not airflow... So less boost or more efficient boost is equal to more airflow and more HP/TQ

I would say belt slip...

Should have very slightly rising boost in a roots blower... no motor I have ever seen gets more efficient flow wise towards redline.

600 RWTQ on a 1000 RWHP setup isn't low end, neither is 500 RWTQ on a 800 RWHP setup.

My TVS1900 makes 640 RWTQ on a 661 RWHP setup, The ZR1 makes 740 RWTQ with over 752 RWHP - THAT is low end.

You also have to take into consideration the power curves.

Can you share some details on this build? Power and torque are impressive!

1200hp at 44lbs is not impressive... and it runs like ****.

compound is simply a gimmick for people who want a "bolt on" turbo system for a stock supercharged car. There is no point to it. Upgrade the s/c or buy the CORRECT size turbos. The hellion car is the prime example on the GT500. Makes around 800ish with compound... remove the s/c and it makes about 1000 on the boost. You can view hellions' own video on youtube if you doubt it.

Imo turbo>centri>twin screw>roots

I've seen GT500 with compound Hellion setup Twin 68mm turbos and stock blower it made 730rwhp with 17psi after that they removed the blower and put custom intake with the same boost made close to 800rwhp

So the stock blower is a freaking restriction but with those big turbos the car was so laggy on the street so the blower fixed that..

Exactly and idk how it ran like ****, it ha a pretty linear power curve and there was zero boost lag when I rode in torrie's car. And maybe it's just me the guy just pulled a 220mph standin mile so I'm missing the big restriction.
