Exclamation Highest HP out of a ZR1 to date!!

Just finsihed installing our complete REAPER package on Andrew Alepa's 09 ZR1 Corvette. We achieved 752rwhp and 740rwtq on 15lbs of boost and 93 Octane. You can see our setup is a little inefficient due to the boost dropping to 12.5lbs at the end of the pull. We have a few more tricks up our sleeve to try and keep the boost steady at 15lbs. If this thing will stay at 15lbs of boost at 6500rpms we should see 800rwhp. Keep in mind this thing is on 93 octane unlike alot of other ZR1 build threads I have been reading lately. Enjoy!

Nice! Stupid question, but are the stock LS9 pistons forged? Also, can you post up the dyno graph with the boost on it?

the whole bottome end in forged from the factory. i want to see some one put an aps z06 kit on one of these and leave the supercharger on. and see what kind of power GM forged can max out at.

It looks like the factory air box and throttlebody could hold back power?

The simple answer to maintaining boost at high RPM's is a Procharger.

The rods are titanium, the pistons and crank are forged.

This would be cool for the idea. they offer a twin turbo kit for the cobras like that. when they dynoed the cobra with the blower and turbos it put down like 640hp or something. then they pulled off the blower and installed an NA cobra intake and made over 800 to the wheels on the same boost level. As it makes sense the blower on the cobra became a huge restriction up top. But who knows with the zr1. Dont know much about the blower design or anything.. i just remeber reading that cobra article.

Stock Air box, TB, and blower inlet is the big restriction on this car. That is why you see the boost drop from 15lbs to 12.5 at 6500rpms.

Inlet restriction / inneffiency.

And for the love of god will people stop talking about putting turbos on top of the blower, its a restriction, you will NOT make some uber awesome hp doing this.
