SD tune help. Car will not start.
Ok I am switching over to a speed density tune because I built a forged bottom end and plan on turning up the boost
So I bought the 2 credits and applied them to my car and hit the "2 Bar MAP - Speed Density" in the OS options.
When I did this it took my two VE tables (this is a 2000 corvette) and put one primary VE table in it's place. It also set the whole table value @ 152 and gave me up to 210 kPa.
I copied my old VE table up to 105 kPa so I could atleast fire the car up. Here's the problem. The car will crank and sputter but will not start. If I put the old 1 Bar tune in the car will fire right up and idle.
Also when I have the 2 Bar SD tune in I am getting a ton of codes. Most have nothing to do w/ the motor, but I am getting:
P0103
P1514
As soon as I stop cranking w/ the SD tune, I get "Reduced Engine Power" and "Service Traction System" on the DIC.
I am at a loss here. I do not have the MAF in the car at all, I bought a 2 Bar MAP sensor (this is a 05 Cobalt SS Baro sensor I am using).
Attached is the tune I am trying to start the car w/. This was the tune that worked in the car before, but now it's only converted to the 2 bar. Also attached is a list of the codes I am getting.
Even doing a re-write takes longer than before. A normal re-write would take 20-30sec. Now it is taking 3-4 mins w/ the SD tune.
I tried the cobaltss map again....and all it would do is fire up and die. Die no matter what instantly.
I gave the cobalt sensor to a guy to return and try another, but for now the old style map is still on the rail.
Log the map......my cobalt map was going the wrong direction....
Also see you are running open loop full time? long terms off.. personal choice I guess.
I think it is likely your map from what you said also although I run a 3 bar with gm map sensor.
I didn't even mess w/ the boost PE because of just starting the car. I wanted to get heat into the motor & make sure it didn't have any mechanical problems first.

The key things from teh post are:
''the 12580698 is NOT an BW EC1636 even though they look the same, EC1636 is in fact a one bar'
I bought a BW EC1636 from AutoZone. This is probally why the stock MAP and the BW read exactlly the same w/ the MAF tune, and why it won't run at all w/ the SD tune.
Zturd has the GM 12580698 for me and I will be trying it out tonight & let you know how it works out.
Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions.
The left is the GM, middle is BW, right is stocker

I slapped the GM one in & BAMMM!!! she fired right up. Now I can start dialin' everything in.
