I wish I could but I don't think it will be done by then. Maybe next year but when its finished I will make a trip to Irwindale to have some fun and shake it down some. Its been since September since I raced so I'm starting to get impatient.

More progress. The heads are assembled and ready to go! Just waiting on the lifters so the heads can go on the block. I'm also waiting for my rockers to come back from Jesel so we can finish up the motor. Getting closer!

We were waiting on a set of rockers from Jesel and those should be on the way next week. Also waiting on a set of lifters from Morel and once we have this stuff the motor can be finished. Alston is also finishing up the gear drive and motor and mid plate set up for a LSX block in a 1st Gen Camaro. I am taking the car to Wizard Racing next week to put in the Alston front clip, mini tub with FAB 9", FAST XFI, and install everything. Once Kurt finishes the motor he will send it to Wizard and we will finish the job. When more pictures are available I will start posting. Thanks.

At the rate this motor is coming together it should be finished before my 485" Dart Billet LSX with a gear driven F2.
this is what im interested in

Me too. It might end up being a little bit different now that we are going with a F2. Originally it was going to be a nitrous motor and now we won't need all that stroke. It will be done eventually and then we will all find out what it can do. For now my 69 Camaro will have to keep me occupied and sharp on the Xmas tree.

Default More Progress!!!

Have not posted anything in a while because we were waiting on parts to finish the motor up. We received lifters 2 weeks ago and the shaft rockers showed up today. Kurt can now test fit the rockers and make sure they fit nicely on the cylinder heads. If all is good there the heads can go, valvetrain geometry can be checked and pushrod length will be established. The motor is getting closer to completion.

While all this is going on the car is at the chassis shop waiting on parts from Alston Chassisworks and Comp (FAST XFI). We should have the front clip with LSx motorplates and front suspension and shocks from Alston this week and we already have the Alston FAB 9" and rear suspension set up. Not sure when we will be finished but I hope we have a running car in a couple months.

Thank you Bob. I'm looking forward to enjoying it and can't wait to let my dad have a crack at it too. You going to the LS race at Milan in July?

Well it looks like the rockers must of fit because I got these pictures from Kurt on Sunday morning. Looks like he was busy putting on my heads and torquing them down. Now he can put the rockers on again and get the correct length pushrod. Alston Chassisworks is also putting the finishing touches on the gear drive for the Procharger headunit and my new front clip was delivered on Friday. Forward progress is good!

Getting closer. Here a few more pictures from this past weekends progress. Motor is ready to go and Kurt is test fitting and making adjustments on the gear drive and motor plate. I get to see this in person on Friday since I'm flying to back to the Milan LSx race. Thanks for the pictures Kurt!
