69 Camaro, 410" LSX with Procharger F1C
So I got bored and decided to get my 1969 Camaro running again. I've had the car since I was 18 and it still has the first motor I built with my dad. Anyhow, its been 10.80's @ 3450lbs all day long with a true 350 SBC naturally aspirated. Unfortunately, we don't have the time to build motors anymore so I asked Kurt Urban to build another motor for me. We are also going to redo the suspension with parts from Alston Chassisworks and chassis set up and tuning with Theo Dec at Wizard Racing. I'm building the car so I can drive it on the street and run a Limited 10.5 class. This car will be running well before my Trans Am is done so the race season won't be entirely lost.
Details below and pictures of the car with the old setup and prior to painting it GM Electron Blue:
Engine:
410" GMPP LSX Iron Block w/ Procharger F1C
Callies Magnum Crankshaft
Howards 6.125 Rods
Diamond Pistons
All Pro 244cc Cathedral Heads
Hydraulic Roller Cam
Jesel 1.7 Mohawk Rockers
GMPP Single Plane Manifold with Elbow and 90MM TB
Trans and Converter:
ATI TH400 rebuilt by Steve Casner
10" 4200 Converter
Chassis and Suspension: Alston Chassiworks and Wizard Racing
Alston Front Clip, A Arms, Double Adjustable Varishocks
Alston FAB 9", Strange 35 Spline Axles, Calvert Split Mono Leafs, Double Adjustable Varishocks
Cage cert'd to 8.50's... don't think we'll go faster than that...
Also going to run a FAST XFI standalone for LS1 and coil on plug set up.

Thanks guys. This has been a long time coming and the timing is now! I know if I wait any longer it will be 2-3 years and by then I'm the wife and I will have at least 1 baby on the way.

Update
Finally have an update to share and few pictures. As of now the block has been machined and rotating assembly balanced. I'm waiting for pictures from Kurt and will get them when he starts assembling the shortblock. My cylinder heads from All Pro showed up today and here a few pictures. They sure look nice.
At the rate this motor is coming together it should be finished before my 485" Dart Billet LSX with a gear driven F2.

About time for an update. The shortblock is starting to come together and just waiting for the pistons to get coated. Once the pistons come back they are ready to go in and the shortblock will be finished and we can start putting the heads and manifold on. Progress is a good thing.

Pistons are back from Dart coated and ready for assembly in the short block. Looking forward to more progress and hope we have a finished motor in a few weeks.

More progress from Kurt Urban. Shortblock is assembled and time for lifters, heads, pushrods, etc. Thanks for looking and can't wait till this is finished.

Thats funny because I thought the same. When I first glanced at the pictures I didn't pay much attention. After staring at them some more I was happy to see they have some strength to handle what I'm throwing at them.
