Default 12.808 @ 104.39 in the express VAN

All I can say is , its a riot. Taking a fullsize express van to the track and having vettes turn you down to race. People just cringe when you line up. First victim was a bright red gts viper. He actually went quicker, but I got the win, due to driver mod. (I treed him) He out et'd it by tad though.

At half track I was ahead 8.31 to his 8.40, and took the win with a 13.01 to his 12.80. Reaction was my .247 to his .571......I probably win half the races on the tree.

LaterI decided to make another pass, and with out passenger (viper race I had 220 extra lbs) 12.808 @104.39 8.12 @ 84.99 in the 1/8th. WHICH is faster then it was stock in the quarter......Stock it ran 80-81 mph best in the quarter.

On one pass it left soft, but did run 105.7 too.....

On 20's.....and holds 8 people.....

Poor Viper owner. Losing the win light to a full size van.

It's making around 550-600 AWHP (depending on race weight 6000 - 6500lbs) on a stock 5.3 short block. Wonder what the drive train loss is on it.

its a stock 5.3.....72 turbo, used 317 heads, arps, used z06 cam, a turbo system i built, with a 4l80e. it uses a cummins ram intercooler, with water /meth. 60 lb injectors , built and tuned by me .

oh the last race on the video is a new 638 hp zr1......he got treed too, just like the viper last night.

if i had the extra money laying around and the experience i would either the same van or a 97 chrysler town & country awd. i had a fwd t&C years ago and that was the most comfortable dd ive ever been in. the seat in the rear turned into a bed and the ladies loved it . not to mention i never got pulled over...not saying i do

any plans on a 408 and some more boost? btw, what does she get for mpg? thats only thing i don't like about those vans is they got 20hwy/ 12 city. my t&c got 25hwy, 20city

I built it, for good friend. I used it a few times to go to a few triathlons out of state, and we liked it. My wife was like, wow, this is great.....etc etc...so i hunted down one for me.

I picked up an 03 gmc savanna conversion van for 5600 $. It was in a front end accident and had been fixed but not great. No big deal for the price to me though. Im shipping my 4l80e to rossler on monday. I already have the 402 ready to assemble. My goal with mine is 11.90's....

i hope you do a build thread. are you going to put sway bars in and bigger brakes? the only thing i don't like about vans is the body roll mostly. btw, what do you think that awd system will hold as far as hp? did she come with the big tv? might be time for a 32" flat screen . when you get a chance can you give us a rough guestimate on the mpg? i might do something like this down the road in a few yrs. how was the room when mocking up the kit?

Awesome van ! Makes me want to do up my 2008 montana. Shame they only have 3.9 v6 but with some boost might be ok. Wish they did make some turbo or small supercharger van engine options. So what do you figure that puts out for power.have you dynoed it? What is the raceweight?

The turbo van has hawk pads, with a big rotor conversion on the front (14.5 rotors). It also has a helwig rear sway bar. It also has shocks....The owner, Tyler has a lot of experience with suspensions, coming from autocross and rock crawling back ground. The turbo van will turn the inside tires if you turn and stab it. Since they are awd, they pretty much cant get too much over steer.

Mine....has a bear aluma sport kit which put calipers and 14.5 in rototrs all the way around. It stops rather well. I traded my stock brakes to guy that was trading in his denali, and I gave up some cash. My wife has already been rear ended once. Better then hitting someone else though.

Im about to do the rear sway bar, and shocks myself now.

It gets about 12-16 in town. Depends entirely on how and who drives it. On the road 15-18 still, same as stock. Again depends on weather you cruise at 65 or 85.

It scaled 6400 on the 12.80 pass.

That thing is cool! Vegas is a little over 2000' elv probably run a couple tenths quicker at sealevel.
