You will definately have to cut stuff with the Super Vic. The Vic Jr. and an elbow sounds like what you want.

how is the intake going to cause the plugs to reverse out?

Re-read the first post.

Also, what do you guys think about just using an LS1 intake? If it breaks, oh well, just buy another one. But it should make about thwe same power right?

Sure... I think it may work, but wouldn't the ERG be just another "plug" to deal with?

Yeah, but it bolts in. Plus I'll epoxy the rear plug before I put it on. I really don't care for the way vic jr's look. And I don't wanna spend 300 bucks on an ls6 that could break again. If the ls1 intake breaks, oh well, just buy another one for 50 bucks.

Sounds good. The single plane's looks can be argued and you'll have to modify your charge pipe to it to deal with the different angle/length requirements but, eventually for a turbo setup, the single plane will allow you to really push that charged air into the motor and build solid power as rpm's increase.

LS1 and LS2 intakes are not one piece intakes. The air will bleed from cylinder to cylinder when it "grows" under boost. The LS6 is a one piece which is why it works so well under boosted applications.

Where are the other pieces? It looks basically the same as the ls6, actually a little stronger in some places...

The BBK LS6 Intake could be a good option for you as well. Supposed to be as good flowing as an LS6, but with the robustness of aluminum.

There are a few threads on here where folks lost ET in FI applications after switching to Vic Jr. I think one even had a before/after dyno that showed a slight gain near redline, but a loss all the way up to that point. May be worth it just for the coolness factor though.

Sean, what did you decide on doing? If you want to chance the LS1 intake, mine should still be at solid tech. You can have it if you need it.

Yes, that will work fine. I am running 12-15 psi thru my stock 5.3 intake, no problems.

Well I put the LS1 intake on with a rubber plug covered with a bracket I made. Ran it on the street yesterday and it seems to work just like the ls6 on 13psi. I'll leave it on this boost level until I get a BBK, then it'll be turned back up. I'll let you guys know if I still run the same et's/mph with this intake.

Rob, I picked up that intake from Solid, thanks man!
