Default What intake manifold? PT88+22psi

I got a few good runs in with the LS6 intake on my car on high boost(22psi), but it blew the plug out of the back on my last pull at the track yesterday. Is there a way to make that plug stay in or do I need a different manifold? Has anyone used plastic epoxy to keep it on? I'd like to keep the stock manifold if possible but if not, what intake manifold works best for boost? Thanks

Motor is a 370, TSP terminator heads, pt88 turbo, th400, etc...

Is there an elbow available that fits without cutting anything?

hmm weird. never heard of that before. had you removed it before or was it in wrong? did it break the intake?

ive run a couple different ls6 intakes to 23-24 lots of times.. maybe you should just try another one?

In case you dont know... MM drives the fastest true DD on this board (8sec)... I would take his word!

As for the elbow... yes... there is a sponsor here that sells em even!

The LS6 intake is generally good for a lot of boost. However, I'd go with Vic Jr. and a good elbow (aka, not the Edlebrock elbow), mine was an intakeelbows (Google) elbow milled down to fit under the cowl:

Also, good to meet you in Houston!

I just switched from a FAST to a ported LS2 after I cracked my FAST. The main reason I went LS2 was so I could retain my 90MM throttle body. I would think a ported LS2 would out perform a LS6 but who knows. I was afraid of how the elbow on the vic jr would flow.

No LS2 #'s yet though.

id assume it was a freak incident...put some kinda glue on it and put it back in there...although a carb style and elbow would be kool...just money that you dont need to spend IMO

The vic jr. is the popular choice. The GMPP intake is slightly shorter so you could fit a better elbow on that if you are concerned with clearance.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not sure if the intake is cracked, haven't pulled it off yet. But if its not I think ill try glueing it in.

Has anyone tested power gains going from an LS6 intake and ported stock TB to an LS2 with a 90mm TB?

I'm curious as my plan is to run an LS6 intake with a GT88 T6 turbo on a 364ci setup.

Just got the intake off and it is cracked in the back right under that plug. What would cause this? Timing is at 16 degrees, I was on 22psi, and shifting around 6400. Also c16 gas

I'll prolly just go ahead and get the super victor and be done with it. I don't wanna get another ls6 and have it break too, that's my luck lol. Thanks for the help.
