i would think you can do better than 8.70's with that setup without too much trouble, the head gaskets will be the deciding factor i suspect

Mine or Drew's.

On my set-up, last year running just head bolts (not studs) and 3 layer cosmetic (sp) gaskets, we did NOT push any water. This year set-up, studs, 5 layer head gaskets, and a different blow-by system and extra water jacket lines, we are hoping to be OK.

Can Drew run 8's. That's to be seen. His old set-up N/A he ran 10.6's. To jump to 9 or 8's. Hopefully he has some a change of underwear with him

Should be an interesting year

David

I guess we'll see. Not much progress as one of the guys at the shop in on active duty with the NG. Oh well!

Have never been there. Have always wanted to go there and may have to get my NHRA license and cage certification. I have to get the SS up and running first.

Little steps. Completed the fire system; alternator placement and hook up; blow down tubes for wastegates; more wiring for boost controller.

I even bought engine oil. Changed the rear-end oil - still looked new after 3 years.

Little by little. All fluids are in - tranny, engine, water. Boost controller is hooked up. More wiring. Alternator is in. Tranny blow-by tank is in place. Soon, very soon.

Attached are pictures of the tranny blow-by tank and alternator placement.

I've been saying that for 18 months . My builder says today or tomorrow the SS should have life again. So far no leaks, but we'll see once it gets started. I would never, I mean never, tear out all your wiring. What a PIA. The dash is coming together but man the wiring is a nightmare. It will be a while longer before its ready for the track.
