Default Is there a way to stretch a new belt before putting it on?

I just went down a pulley size from a 3.85 to a 3.70 on my Procharger. My last belt was 40.8" and the new one is 40.7". The problem is that I had to literally pull the new belt on over the crank pulley. It was a tight fit. Now, I have the tensioner to the max and I'm still seeing a little bit of slippage. But its very tight. I know I'm pushing my limits on the 6-rib, but a little more tighter and I think she'd grab. Or if you could put in a longer tensioner bolt. ???

I was wondering if there was a way to stretch them a bit prior to putting them on. Then, I could try a 40.5" and have some room with the tensioner.

Heat it up and stick in on the jack. Sounds good guys. Thanks for the suggestions. I just can't put too much pressure on it.

Just to let you know...It is not a good idea to put the belt on the oven!! I just did that for 1.XX minute, and it catched on fire I had the replace my wife's oven hahaha! Fortunately nothing more than that, and a awful burned tire odor on the kitchen!!

NOT A GOOD IDEA!!!

I tried with caution a few months back. I got it barely on, but it was spinning too much and kept slipping. I see a SDCE setup real soon. 11lbs and a MMS crank pulley can't put out any more.

There's a price for speed!!!

Have you been cutting back on your workouts? Hell, you should be able to stretch the smaller one by hand. You have a bigger chest than most of the women I dated, even the ones with implants

Aside from prying on the belt that tight which i believe is not gonna stear you from you current belt slip issue.I wanna suggest this with a belt you could actually maneuver on without too much strain...

Im gonna share what worked for me...You could slot the blower pulley with a hacksaw.Be careful depth of the cut is important at no more than .060 +/- .010.Section the pulley by 12 parts like a clock.Make the cut from the top down perpendicular to the ribs. While keeping both hands on the saw working slowly back and fourth. This should provide enough bite to rip the belt apart instead of breaking from tension. You could also bead blast the ribbed section lightly to create a semi-rough surface....
