Wll broke down and bought a cowl.....I feel like a 5.0L Fox mustang owner now  ...but mine actually serves a purpose hahahaha I guess I can get a Fuel pressure gauge and tuck it under the cowl. Its gonna be interesting to drive as it was hard enough seeing over the stock hood the way the seats sit so low haha
Also here are some pics of new parts/the harness for *****..

And I also have a adapter that came with my engine (it was a 4l80e truck the motor came from) so I didnt really need to buy the hughes adapter but figure buy everything new hahah
Also another guy on here used the same one...he built a white SS with a T70? truck manifolds etc. He said this is the one he used on his TH400 swap
,the part number is hughes HP4004x
My other buddies used the TCIs which I was gonna get but when we went to summit none of them had the adapter which was suppose to come with them, so i didnt wanna go through the hassle of shipping one to canada and finding out it didnt have a adapter.

Are those valve covers off ebay for like $120? If so you are going to have a hell of a time sealing them. I have had 3 people with buy them and could not get one to seal correctly without leaking, not even rtv, or emblem adhesive will save them. Just a heads up if they are those.

Well finally got out in the garage! had to get the crossover done since the engine is going to the shop tomorrow.
I still need to build a Brace for the turbo to the engine block.
Also picked up a nitrous 4150 plate kit with purge, plan on running just a 50 shot DRY, just when i go to the track.

Good news, I brought the block in yesterday, Got a call today saying the pistons are cut and already on the way!
Monday he should get them and start my build! He said he already has most the bearings in stock since he is doing nascar LS 6.0L motors.
Im gonna keep on him and push him to get it done ASAP!

Well small updates...
Painted the headers, and installed O2 bungs, also started to wrap them. I finished one, just need soem ties to finish it off.
Also painted the front/rear cover and cleaned the starter and painted it.
Then decided since I love AN fittings I cut/drill out the heater lines on the water pump and Tapped them for 1/2 NPT and put some -8an fittings in it.
Also a few pics of the back half of the cage, I just need to do a camera mount and the door bars (last on the list since its easier to wire under the dash without a bar in the way.

Well last night was a decent night....
Sanded and painted the underside of the cowl hood black.
finished all the front brake lines to the line lock etc. (heat sleeved it all too)
Finished off the fuel lines
Put the hatch interior all back in (cut the carpet for the cage)
Welded the motor mounts
Talked to the engine builder, plans are to start the motor this week, said about 1-1.5 weeks to finish it.
So I am gonna push him to get it done by latest june 25ish so I can meet my start up goal of mid july.

50' 2inch DEI titanium wrap (love it!!!)
then misc fittings, bungs and spark plugs

well today I tackled the fuel lines, just had to screw them to the floor, then decided I was a head porter haha, I cleaned up the exhaust ports (basically took off the cast marks/smoothed them out)
Intake side I just port matched the intake runners, and cleaned up any cast marks.
Then I wire wheeled everything to clean them up before sending them to get sand blasted/milled.
I also decided screw the stock crossover/steam pipe its ugly, drilled and tapped the holes 1/8npt and put some -4an fittings in. (plugged the rears)
This weekend or mid next week I will be painting the front clip and side skirts.
Here are a few pics..

I use Remflex gaskets in all my turbo builds, you can't beat a gasket good to *3000 and has a 6 month no hastle send them back if they fail or you don't like them warranty.
just my .02
Nice build BTW.
