Where to start?
I've had the supercharger kit for almost a year now, the other parts I've collected since I got the charger. My goal is to run the 2.5" pulley and spray a 100hp DP wet shot.
Where should I start? I know I'm going to need a forged short block, new clutch, drive shaft, rear end, and everything to make it hook up, but I don't have that kind of money right now. I'm really getting dissappointed. I've spent alot of money, and all I have done to the car is LT, ORP, Corsa cat back, lid, and a B&M ripper shifter.
Should I keep waiting and keep saving or have my cam put in now, then save up, get some 6L heads, and have the supercharger put on? I still won't be anywhere near my goal, but I'm ready to see and feel something after a year of spending.
I'm just worried that if I put everything on without building it up first that the rear will break, or I'll blow the motor. I plan on replacing everything, but this is my daily driver right now "hopefully not for much longer". I can't afford to have something break unexpectingly. There is no way I could come up with an unexpected 4000$ for a new short block to be installed, or even 3000$ to have a new rear put in.
Could someone give me some advice...I really don't know what to do. I want to see some results after spending all this money and looking at everything for almost a year. Would I get much of a gain out of the cam without tunning?
Sorry it was so long, just looking for support I guess. Thanks
If you drag race the car the rear will break, but if you watch it the rear will hold up for a long time just playing around with the blower. Your stock clutch will most likely puke way before the rear anyways

Thats what I would do anyhow..
I would recommend 50# injectors (if you dont already have them) and dual intank 340 pumps.
Are you six speed or auto?
Run the stock rear with stock gears (3.23 if A4 or 3.42 if M6) Pick up a set of nittos/DR's and maybe a stock steel DS if you are worried about the alum breaking.
With that combo you should run low 11's no problem without breaking parts.
you'll need a clutch if six speed. If you are a A4 get a decent stall (2800 or so) and a rebuild of the tranny with cooler.
Will be a fun fast street ride.
I think a new clutch will be purchase #2.
John, I like your idea too. I ordered the cam from TR, but I live in north Louisiana. I got their cam kit that has the valve springs and push rods. I'm not sure what springs they are.
I have whatever injectors came with the kit. I'm not sure.

Would it help if I picked up some stock 6L heads? Or would this bring my power down also?
