Those turbos are fine. Just need to get up a little higher on the 2 step and you'll be fine.

That's a nice piece but the Holley ECU now has integrated boost control with CO2 that they just released. Solenoids are being shipped and he needs to buy a bottle of CO2 and a MAP sensor. They have it working good with target reference pressure. They are still working on target boost. That's FAR more difficult to do because of the logic required as as kits respond differently to gate pressure.

I'm about to do a similar build on a 370 with twin TC 78's and have been debating over what housing to go with also.

Just read the whole thread. Nice looking setup and look forward to seeing the numbers when everything gets ironed out.

Thats interesting. I put the .96's on my mp70's since i thought the .68's would be restrictive above 6000 rpm on a 400" motor. I havent run the motor yet, just got it fired up and starting tuning after I get exhaust back together. I figured .81's would be perfect but MP doesnt make them. I just know my other combo seemed to fall off sooner in rpm than expected and didnt pick up much with boost higher than 14 like I expected with .68's but the motor did have a fairly small cam and small heads for the combo.

Then again TC78's seem big with your motor in that power range..so a .81 a/r may be abit large if the turbine is larger than a P trim

When it was a 416 w/ twin MP70's and 68 AR housings the thing sounded like the little pig from the Geico commercials just driving around. The blow off was constantly dumping due to insta boost every time you accelerate at all. I'd say that it was more fun to drive that way even though the 78's perform much better on the track.

Yeah i bet... my mild 401 with the old combo came on boost pretty quickly with twin 60's and .68 housings.... I went to twin 70's same housings and it was abit more delayed on boost. I liked it since it gave car a chance to hook on the street but didnt pick up power..just too much compressor for the mild motor....new motor setup should take full use of them tho
