i would never use a shop with someone who gives advice like that, i feel bad for his customers.

the aps uses some custom type that they have to buy from aps, a major pain, also it is to small for engines larger then 350 cubes.
i dont think any ls1 fbody has made over 1000rw.
true, and it is a T4 flange with the measurements slightly changed, its detailed in the thread "calling out aps"

to my knowledge the only people making 4 digits on APS are doing it with the LGM upgrades, I agree the T3's are too small, the 416 has such a long stroke they just wont flow. IMO it would be better to have the undivided T4 with a smaller housing, 0.68 maybe. If the T3/T4 turnes out to be too small your SOL, where a T4 in the first place would just mean a housing change.

Ivanna I dont know if this mid engine setup will work in a fiero. If you measure from crankshaft to tail of the tranny it is pretty long. There is quite a bit of transmission hanging out behind the rear wheels. Actually, the whole transmission is behind the rear wheels, as the ring and pinion are right behind the bellhousing. In a fiero you need more of a FWD transaxle, which is transverse mounted.

What do you mean by what do we have in the motor?

I'm going to be using a Dave held "rocker" cradle for the rear witch eliminates the whole stock set up and even most of the body panels in the back they suggested i use either an audi trans or a Porsche trans, and the motor I was just cureious about the block iron or aluminum and what heads you were running thats a lot of power.

i see what your doing now. I thought you were trying to fit all that inside the stock bodywork. The block is aluminum and the heads are stock ported LS3 heads.

I dont know a whole lot about the motor, because I didn't read the build sheet that came with it. Im a fabricator, so I might even be a little off on the size.

look up the member named Fireball, his aluminum block was basically stock (slightly filled in the bottom i think) he pushed it to roughly 1700 flywheel HP. granted thats bulit to the gills and double O-ringed, but the block was virtually untouched.

stock untouched LS2 block made 1400 hp very reliably 2 yrs ago. Last year we added block fill (same block) and double o-rings for the head gaskets and it made 1700-1800 hp at the crank. Liner finally let go, but the bottom end was still happy.

both ERL and VA speed offer deck enhancements for the LS2 block which make it capable of exceeding 2K hp. I'll be running the VA speed setup in my new combo next year.

Please let us know if we can help with any questions you might have in regards to these big LS turbo builds. We have a lot of experience with them from big hp street cars to all out 2000 + hp LS race cars applications. There are plenty of guys on here that are running our ERL Superdeck I system in their LS series block successfully.
