sdce vs standard 8 rib
Is there that big of a difference? I have the standard bracket 7.65 crank pulley 3.4 blower pulley coated by carbonite racing and still slips I think it is slipping on the crank. Can some one point me in the right direction. Also im wondering if I can get a smaller pulley on the blower to make up for the smaller crank pulley of sdce?

you wanna try to find a Overdrive crank pulley.
Goin smaller will only cause you more headaches w/ belt slip. Not sure if Innovators West make a OD crank pulley for the F-bodys that work w/ the Procharger.

The problem with the stock procharger system is it has no way of taking up the slack as your belt stretches as the RPM increases. A bracket with a tensioner will certainly cure the problems, but none of the options are exactly cheap.
You could use your existing procharger crank pulley with a tensioned bracket if you changed the water pump to the 05+ Corvette pump, GM part # 89018052, and pull the pulley forward 3/8" to line up with the F-Body drive. This is what I had to do with my own bracket with a tensioner on it.
If you ever get a chance to see a dyno with a tensioner on the system you would be amazed at how much the belts stretch during the run. Simply tightening the belt more will only lead to added stress on the crank and the supercharger bearings.
An overdrive crank pulley will help, but you will have to replace the head unit pulley to keep the correct blower speed and the cost of doing that is probably close to just buying one of the tensioner bracket options out there.

I guess my question is if I switch to the sdce with it having a smaller crank pulley I will need a smaller blower pulley right to make more boost? Also will a d1 be able to push at least 15 lbs of boost on a low compression 376 with good flowing heads with smaller pulleys? Or do i have to go to the option that procharger told me get a f1 easiest way to get rid of belt slip because of the bigger pulley you will run wtf.

How low is your compression?
My D1SC using the standard Procharger 7.625 crank pulley and a 3.85" head unit pulley was pushing a little over 13 psi on my 383 with TSP Ported 5.3 heads. With a 3.4" pulley I would expect to see 17 or 18 psi on that setup.
So yes the D1 is plenty capable of feeding the 376. That being said there is a limit to how much volume of air the D1 can push. It all depends on your goal. If you want much more than 800 hp then you should go up to an F1 series blower. Regardless consider picking up a bracket with a tensioner on it, it will reduce stress on the parts and ensure belt expansion is under control. Doesn't matter what head unit you go with it will give you belt slip issues on the regular Procharger bracket.

They don't make one for the F-bodies. They will if you send them one etc... ASP will make one and already has the program. But your real problem is the lack of a spring tensioner like Aster is talking about. It is not slipping on the crank either there is way to much surface area for that to be happening there. It is slipping on your head unit and it doesn't matter what coating you put on there you will just tear up the belt more lol!GL!

no what i am saying is the sdce comes with a smaller crank pulley then the one with the standard 8 rib right? Then if i had to put a smaller blower pulley again to make up for what im losing with the crank pulley being smaller will i still be able to make the boost that i want.

They are trying to tell you not to run the 7.25 SDCE crank pulley and run the 7.625 Procharger crank pulley or a larger one, but like Aster said, you will need to run the 05+ Corvette water pump to be able to run a tensioner so the belt doesn't hit the water pump pulley.

Yes you would need to find a smaller pulley to run the blower at the same RPM. The down sides to that approach are Procharger does not make pulleys smaller than 3.4" for the 8 rib setup, so you have to go with a more expensive pulley from another source. Also you still have the issue of the smaller pulley on the head unit provides less surface area for the belt to grip.

You would probably see 13 if the 15psi wasn't slipping when it made it. It is hard to say what you would see after resolving the belt slip since you're current max may not be what it is really capable of.

The problem with electric water pumps is their attached idler pulleys are all more obtrusive into the belt path than the regular bell shaped LS1 pump. Instead of a curve up to the nose they usually stay flat longer.
An electric pump can be made to work, but it involves removing the pump's idler pulley and changing the belt routing for the main accessory drive.
