Went to track yesterday. Cars first time. 9.53 @ 133
Me and my buddy have been working on this car for about a year now.
Car is a 63 ss nova.
Back half with 9", coilovers, and the usual
Ten point cage..
Redneck RMVB powerglide (w/brake) with billet 4500rpm stall
Engine is TSP 408
L92 heads. Stock intake runners and polished exhaust.
Intake is the GM perfoamnce carb intake
front mount distributer
950 carb shop blow though carb
T6 Borg warner 88mm with race cover
We started out with about 26-28* timing locked. Mallory box set to pull 0.9 degree's for every pound of boost. Runing about 12psi.
We unloaded the car out of the trailer and foot braking it we went 11.15 at 94 mph (obviously coming out of it after the 1/8th.
Second pass was a 10.4 at 109 mph. Held it to the wood till it started popping. At this point we figured the prologger out (left the book at home) and found we were little (read: a lot!) lean. Of course we let out of it.
Jetted up 4 sizes on the back. This run we decided to try to t brake (car had been dead hooking as it was). Well my buddy got on it but was distracted by the guy in the other lane and never let it build rpm to the 2 step. Leaving at 2500 rpm with went 10.4 at 135mph. I will post this slip later because there is some REALLY weird stuff going on with it. Same 60 as last run (1.. Same 1/8 mph as last (112mph). But .4 slower in 8th. Doesn't make any sence.
We were still lean and jetted up again. This last run we t-brake and held it till the 4k two step. At 1psi we let her lose. Dead hooked, pulled drivers wheel, and went strait.
60' - 1.3716
330' - 3.8564
1/8 et - 5.9776
1/8 MPH - 113.72
1000' - 7.8728
1/4 et - 9.5340
1/4 MPH - 133.25
We for got the start the logger this run. At about the 950' it nosed over. I am assuming its still lean, but it isn't lean enough to pop now. Just a complete guess at this point. Car would have probably big ended a lot better with the afr on. Maybe 140... 142ish i imagine.
This was only 12psi and 14* of timing on a 8.8/1 408. We have a lot left in it.
Thought i would share and get some opinions. Will post pictures asap

My questions is wtf to do to get the afr into the 11's.
Cabr is a Carb Shop 950 blow through. 69 on the front and 82 on the back.
Through first gear we run about mid 12's afr and never see above 8 psi. in second as the car starts to work up and build 11-12 psi the afr does that. Slowly raises from 13 to 13.9
We have no extentions. Should we come up on the main? maybe extentions are the ticket?
Thanks! Really happy with the cars first time down the track

Unfortunatly with the blow through setup the only thing we really can log is the rpm... and afr.
It has a big nasty magnafuel pump that seems to have lil problems keeping up... It really only need to keep the bowls full and it handles that well. I know asking for advice with blow thru on this forum isn't the best place.
Thanks man. quite a bit more radical than my 5.3 car. It's a beast!

I see no reason why it should be hard to add extra channels to log various items.
If increasing jet sizes doesnt make it richer, perhaps there are some air correctors or similar that arent allowing it to get the extra fuel. Or perhaps it needs a carb with a smaller venturi body to force it to draw more fuel.
