after im done with it the only mods i plan to do is a 90mm tb and a free flowing exhaust 3.5", maybe a cutout too.

Id also like to lose a little bit of weight on the car, it weighs 3200 right now, id like to get down into the 3000's.

the cam i went with should make alot of power throughout the rpms.
specs are LS1-GT2-3 207 / 220 .571" / .578" 118.5

Hey, is there anyway to go to a 90mm tb without buying a complete j tube? do they make a 78mm-90mm adapter?

I have a 70 to 90 mm adapter... but i think it was intended for going from a 78mm TB to a 90MM intake but it would work the other way. Its made out of billet. If your intrested, PM me an offer, I can take pic's if you need

This is my next setup. Over the next 2 years while finishing school I'll be putting together a LS and slapping a maggie on it...hoping for 600ish.

i was reading that with maggies you dont really need to worry about cam choice like you do with prochargers? is this true?

you still need to make a good cam choice to make high boost...but its not as bad as with some other styles of superchargers

so it goes on a 78mm intake so that you can install a 90mm tb on it?

I think that's pretty much all the 90mm jtubes are, a 78mm tube with a 90mm adapter welded to it.

Send me some pics please.

On a side note, I would strongly advise aginst trying to mate a 76mm TB to a 90mm intake, I know it's tuneable and worked on old school 350s when people would put an adapter on the 4bbl intake to mount a 2bbl carb, but on these engines, it's just a choking point. I think you're gonna lose the efficiency that you need to make it work. The Magnacharger is designed to work with the 90mm TB for a reason.

It was maxed as far as boost effeciency, anything over 10psi creates too much heat and starts to be too much of a heat soak on the engine to make any power. At my level it was already making tons of heat and traffic wasn't very fun to be in; the temp gauge would get to 230-240 fairly quick and that was with having a 160* thermostat. It was an intercooled system as well. There was a guy on here that was running an MS4 cam with a 3.0 pulley I think and made 574 at the wheels, but his boost was bleeding off from the cam overlap.

any idea how much boost a 2.9" pulley will make on an mp112 on an ls1 with stock heads? ls1 is an 02 if that matter.
