Default wastegate/boost controller questions

I have a Tial 38mm wastegate I bought to use in my truck manifold turbo kit - but now I'm starting to wonder if the ability to change my boost level on a whim would be worthwhile. I don't know anything about the dial-a-boost type setups, how much money and I looking at to go to a setup like that vs the standard wastegate/spring swap for changing boost levels?

its nice to be able to run lower boost in lower gears if you have traction issues at higher boost

I use a Dial-A-Boost as well. it kinda sucks because once you find a good setting you dont wanna change it. I am going with an AMS-500 or EBoost2 here pretty soon though. just use a manual boost controller to shake all the bugs out. Hell i was on the spring for a few weeks while I was shaking mine down.

Details ???

Do you use a Grand National solenoid between the manifold and the boost control, and run off the gate springs when there is no power to the solenoid?

I like the idea of the Michael Knight turbo boost button !!!! GO K.I.T.T. go !!!

Ive actually heard of that setup but what i have in mind is more like this. i plan to have a CO2 bottle to a my boost controller to the top port and put the manifold reference on the bottom port. and gauge how much CO2 pressure it takes to make "x" amount of pressure. the bottles last a while and it would be a rather simple setup.
