Default turbo motor / stall verter choice

i am building a 347 ls1 turbo motor for my GTO at a light weight of 3800lbs + LOL.... she will be about 9.4 to 1 compression with a tc76 turbo. and running the vtc 2 cam 23x/22x
trans will be a 4l80e

this will be a 90% street car that will see the track on weekends and some highway pulls and street races (in mexico of course)

i want something that will be very street friendly but still get me off the line nice and quick... hoping for a 1.6 or 1.5 60' time

hoping some one like yank or circle d chime in and help for stall speed and all that good stuff

I have the exact same setup that you're looking to run. I run a Yank SS3600. It seems slightly loose to me but not terrible. Best 60' to date is a 1.68. It needs work for sure, but I don't get to the track often either.

And for what it's worth, go with a bigger turbo.

nice and tight on the street and good for some footbrake action at the track?

What's the biggest stall you've ever had in a car OP...

3000 = street car, 3500+ would be much looser but would do better at the track.

drives around town really well, doesnt normally go over 2200 normal driving.
little slow comming up on the trans brake with the bigger turbo on the smaller motor but no problem with 1.3 short times

I'm running a yank 3400 on a th400 and have a 1.46 60' so far... I have some trouble coming up on the 2-step. But it seems perfect so far other than that.

i wont be running a brake yet but in the future i will....

i will be more then happy with a 1.6-1.5 60' i think with somethin in the 3500 range i should be able to build some boost on the line with te TC76...
