I'd say LS6 style valley cover orfice tube system with a catch can in between the valley and the intake manifold.

That will allow for plenty of crankcase vent, without coating the intake with oil.

I built two catch cans from 2" PVC pipe.

Ls6 valley cover to sealed catch can to one way check valve to intake

Both valve covers to vented catch can.

Ive put 800 miles on it with no oil accumulation and no driveability issues.

Total cost was around $50, I bought a universal breather for the top of one can. The rest was from Home Depot.

If you have any Gm dealers around, go in the shop and ask a tech for a couple one way valves from the brake booster hose recall on the Acadia, Enclave, Traverse.

best way would be a vacuum pump setup

i cant afford that so i vented each valve cover to a catch can

I did twin breathers from my valley cover, drilled and welded -8 bungs onto it, to a remote mounted catch can...however this was made easier using the pro flo intake, gave me a lot more room on the valley

Just make sure you do a PCV setup and not just venting. The benifits are too good.

Valley cover was HORRIBLE for me, tons of oil in the catch can. Went to valve covers and have not seen one drop of oil. Vacuum pump is sitting on the shelf, I took it off.

I am new with forced induction and just assumed a pcv valve wouldnt work because of the boost pressure do you have to use a check valve?

Vent each cover to a catch can with a breather on it plenty for any boost application.

I'm deleting the PCV system entirely and putting a 3/8" line from each valve cover to a vented catch can. I'm using the stock fittings on the valve covers from the PCV system.

Do you want the added benifits of a PCV system or just want the engine vented? Personally I like a PCV system as it keeps the condensation out of the oil, helps with ring sealing, etc. If you use a LS6 valley cover it has a internal orfice so you do not need a pcv valve but you will need a one way valve inline because under boost you dont want pressure going back in the crankcase.

anyone use a crankcase Evacuation System that uses the exhaust to draw air out of the engine? will a pcv valve work well enough I would think that under boost there would be alot of blow by and it would all go out the breather

A pcv system will work well enough. Any blow by gets let out via the breather, but that is the reasoning for a remote breather tank.
