ya i was really thinkin about a th400 but since i drive the car so much and do go on the highway i dont want it to be revving like crazy. i also thought about keep my m6 for awhile but if i blow it then i just kissed $1000 or so away

05 and 06 computers can do it to (using my way ) if you use efilive (hptuners can't delete TCM codes yet).

I have a 4L80E and love it....I used to be a T56 guy too.

Also, the length of the 4L60E and 80E are within 1/16" so you can re-use the driveshaft (with a different yoke) if it will hold up to the power.

FYI there are other fast 4L80E builders out there other than Rossler.

6 speeds work GREAT with a turbo! and very fun. But if you are seeing a lot of track use i would go with a glide or a th400.

I'm really happy with my Rossler 4l80e. I laugh when I see some people defend the 4l60e and act like it can hold consistent 900 rwhp passes. The final straw for me after numerous 60 builds was when a freshly built 4l60e with the best of everything from a major builder smoked itself on it's maiden run at the track.

X2, I was T56 and passed over the 4L60E on my auto swap....straight to 4L80E.

I'm very happy with my Jake's Performance 4L80E. My next one will be a spragless 4L80E from Jake.

I may end up going that route sooner than later. Either way it's very possible with some wiring changes and code deletes.

it can also be done with HP Tuners, just gotta give the TCM some love for the non-existent solenoids

I'm just saying... people say Ahh it can be done. But I still haven't seen it actually done yet. If someone's doing it I wanna know... it'd be nice to sell my TCI unit.

I want a 4L80 sooooooo bad. I'll take the weight penalty with a smile as long as it has a tbrake and wont break. My only problem is the price tag.

do the 4L80 with a rebuild kit (Red something clutches) with the Trans-Go HD2 shift kit, the the shafts with the other goodies and be done with it. There has been plenty of ways to get the pcm to read it so it's just what you choose just keep in mind that when you change from your stock rearend you will have to change the driveshaft IDK why but it's recommended...hmmm has anyone heard of a 4L80 failing at a hp level??

I think I've heard around 160lbs wet for the T56 with a clutch, and 230lbs wet for the 4L80E with a performance converter. Don't quote me on that though, I'm sure it varies with clutch or converter being used.
