I just want a modest LSX 427 with 6 bolt heads, a pimp sheetmetal intake, and 899.99RWHP so I can keep my 6 speed and row my own gears- which is how a true street car is supposed to be driven

Oh, it would be black on black with black tinted windows and the black Weld Stars. No chrome and no stickers/decals.
im with you on the 81 camaro part(year i was born and my first car.) but it would be black with all the factory stickers(red) and ground effects and a set of CCW 505Aa and a big dick daddy 80 with a trans brake and a 9 in.

ONe that can house the largest properly intercooled twin screw setup under the stock ws6 hood WITHOUT ANY modifications to the suspension or cutting of any stock trim...

Power under the curve baby, power under the curve....

Forged motor, around the 400 ci range, give or take a few cubes. F-1C Procharger, MWC 9", built T56 (I rock the auto and like it but when I think of street driving I think T56). Should easily reach 850, which is my goal. Could always crank it up a tiny bit more I suppose

You don't need to. You pass everyone around 150mph, fish tailing, and doing a third gear burnout.

That sounds fun, but it scares the crap out of you when it happens! After doing that once you may have the same thoughts I did, "I aint trying that again"!

The reason I mentioned that is I was at one point sitting shotgun as this was happening. I thought afterwards how horrifyingly wrong it could have gone.

I was driving a Corvette at 41 dragway in Indiana with Michelin Pilot tires and 1400 flywheel HP under the hood. I took off and spun about 4 times at lower speed until I found a throttle position that would not spin but was moving out ok. As I got close to the traps I thought it should take full throttle and I fed it down, it spun hard and upshifted causing the tires to spin for a little after I shut the throttle. The car was just a touch sideways when it stopped spinning, and that threw me back the other way and I almost spun. End result was a dismal 12 second run at 140mph and a new respect for high power on street tires!
