T56 Magnum would still shred under that. If you have unlimited funding I'd look into tranzilla / 9130 internals or a Jericho 5 speed.

From what Im told by most all of the transmission vendors is that as long as I keep it on the street and don't go to the track and do 5-7k launches the magnum will do great. Its not about unlimited funds it about the fact that there are alot of cars with TR6060's making big numbers and the transmissions are living.

The transzilla while Im sure is impressive it very expensive and I havent found hardly anyone that has pushed or leaded on one. Im also told that they have g-force gear sets and I have read on both here and the viper forums they are not all they are cracked up to be.

I did talk to jerico and they recommended the st1200 which has no over drive and you have to run the lighting rod style shifter and linkages.

more like a 3.42 or 3.08 gear but that would be a easy setup

The car got back from the body shop alittle over 2 weeks ago. Its was at the chassis shop the next day. He is a busy guy but says he will start on it soon. Said once he starts should take 2-3 weeks. LME said I should have the motor in january. Im gonna say april-may. Once I get the car back I will install the motor, trans, fuel system and suspension. Then it will go back out to the chassis shop for the turbo kit.

I cant wait to see what it puts down. Im thinking 1000whp@12-14psi

You are very right lol!

I actually talked to a few people with them. They got a guy over on GRAB-A-LANE.com ben that run's low 9's@152 with his T56 magnum. They just put the tr6060 in RCC car also. Right now the plan for the car is to street play until I tired of that then I will pull the PT7175'S off for something larger and a th400 or glide and be track bound. There are alot of 800-900whp c6's that are changing to the TR6060 and have even made track passes with no problems. I am gonna do the sprayer mod to it just for added help. It gonna be a roll racer for now. And Im not pushing as much weight either

From what I have read, the guys with big power that are hurting them are doing it on the 3-4 shift. I got rid of mine for a completely different reason. I just didn't like the inconsistency and my car was running 10's back then. I have much respect for someone that can row a low 9 at 152. That is VERY rare.

Can you fit a streetable valvetrain with the MOZEZ heads? I like to drive 12-18K miles a year.

i think you have to consider cost, otherwise you pay off everbody and just ride around in a dragster and have your team put a fresh bullet in between your trips to the gas station.

for street i tell ya durability, reliability, and mileageability all key! everything else is who'se on the stickiest tires.

some 6 bolt heads from ALL PRO heads or something like that in the 235-350 cc runner range..
shoot for about 9.5-10.0:1 compression with some good pistons probably wiseco and some strong rods..
would wnat to keep it looking as stock as possible so i would probably run a LS3 intake
and the grunt would come from something like a gt47-88 or 91mm turbo something that could make 800 on lower boost 10-15... and then i could turn it up over 20 maybe close to 30 if the need calls for something in the 1200 hp range..
this would be backed by a bulletproof 4l80e with the works and the a built 9in IRS for the back with some 3.46 out back and a nice locker...

i wouldnt want a huge cam being i want to build a sleep type that people wont think it would be all that fast...

have a 4000lbs sunfire and i want to play the inoccent game would want to drive the hell out of it and put some miles on it just like a real street car should... but also have a strong 9 sec setup...

bulletproof and fast as hell... that would be the goal...
That sounds great. We have tried to do something almost exaclty like you have listed with a few differences. But pretty darn close. It has been an 18 month project so far and is just about read for the road.
< 400 ci
LSX block.
Killer heads
Fully streetable cam
TT
NRE engine
fits under the hood
octane on demand
4L85E
Built 9" IRS with 3.25 gears.
Should be > 20 mpg
