80 Trans Am 6.0 Turbo
Once I get my motor I am about to start on my turbo kit, what do you guys think of this set up so far? What can be changed to lower the price or provide better efficiency and reliability? Shooting for 500rwhp.

Also how about this 5.3? $700 with standalone harness.. Good for boost? The lq4 I found was $600 and needs gaskets and accessories, worth it?

Aside from pulling the motor - nothing. I decided to stick with the LS1 (at no fault of the 5.3), my original plan just started snowballing out of control so I had to reel it in a bit. I did a good bit of research and you have a pretty solid setup so you should be good.
Some of the guys here have used e85 and put down some real impressive numbers...something to consider if youre planning pump gas or methanol...to speak to your price or efficiency question.

First I would go with a T76 over a MPT70, but since all you want is 500hp then just stick with the MPT70. The LQ4 has stronger rods then the LQ9, plus the compression is lower in the LQ4 (if my memory serves me correct). In all honesty I would just pick up the 5.3 have fun with it. There are countless amount of people that have slapped turbos on them and move out.

How should I fuel this beast? A 255 walbro? Someone also mentioned a racetronix setup.
