Dam you are somewhat local to me. I would love to hear when you are going to be out at a gathering or at KCIR as I live right up the street from KCIR. I want to see this bad boy run and maybe pick your brains about some tuning question as I am thinking about making the jump to e85 as well. I hope she holds together long enough for you to make some passes as that will be no doubt an impressive run. Wow

Nice numbers. I think I'm done adding HP to mine. Maybe if some larger proven high impedance injectors come out I may add a little more boost but honestly I just enjoy taking it to the track and having it be rock solid reliable. I think the sweet spot on my Turbos are around 25PSI or so. I keep it under 23PSI due to fuel running out.
Good luck at the track. It took me a bunch of runs to get used to the power. People tell me the car moves around on the big end but I have no fear of it. I guess I got used to it. I'd like to see 8.60's on 17" drag radials this season. The parachute added some weight though. We'll see. Good luck.

the rods are fine.... trick is to put real good wrist pins in the combo , to stopthe pins flexing / bending ...this causes heaps of problems
we have had scat rods , with methanol , 36 psi , 358 cubes, twin TC 72's...
all in the tune up, and by the sounds of it, old mate has it tuned good.![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
also seen small journal sbc scat rods, in the 4 liter lexus motors, with 52 psi PSI screw chargers,
again, super strong wrist pins tho..
all in the tuneup

Yes scat rods are very tough I will agree with that. Seen quite a few 1000+rwhp running them with no problems.

This is really inspirational! Even though you took my goal right out from under me lol I'm still super syked to see this kind of numbers out of a 346 that isn't o-ring'd. I can't wait to get a bigger turbo lol

Those are some great numbers. Congrats! I'm going to be running a 346 as well with a few parts I put together and after seeing what you did with it, I feel a lot better about attaining my goal. Of course I'm only shooting for 700-800rwhp, not anything as outrageous as yours lol!

This is living proof that you dont have to have big cubes to break the 4 Digit RWHP mark. I sold my 408ci engine to my Dad for use in his 71 Nova Blow Thur Turbo Project. I am planning a 9.5-10:1 347ci engine now for use with a Precision PT98mm Turbo for use in the local Wild Street Class. Should be fun.
