Everyone asking did it push any water thats about a pointless question on a 2 second dyno pull. Not pushing any water on a 2 second long dyno pull with no load, is a lot different than not pushing water on a full blast on highway or 1/4 mile. Ive found from experience tuning anything 3500 lbs and 700 hp is useless on an inertia dyno, you can get away with murder in the tuneup but wont make it long.

Good job making a lot of power on not alot of parts. What kind of timing? I run mine on E85 as well

9.5 over to be exact

You guys are right there is a HUGE difference between what a person can get away with on a dyno vs on the track or the street. It wouldn't have even seen the dyno if it wasn't for the crap weather in KC right now, and I expect a complete retune once it is on the track or the street.

The safer tune up will probably put the 390 at just over 1krwhp and be comfortable there for quite some time hopefully. It was just nice to see what we could get away with, and it was quite a bit on E85 for 2.5 seconds

If the motor made 400rwhp... @ 14.7 under ideal conditions it would make 800hp, at 29.5# of boost assuming the system is setup correctly it would make 1200hp so knowing the PR was 1.83, 1140rwhp sounds right on target. What are your goals at the track?

you figured out this how?

HP + (HP x Pressure Ratio) = estimated HP

Other factors like IAT raise, efficences, and other things play a part as well.

(14.7 + Boost) / boost = PR

(14.7 + 27) / 14.7

41.7 / 14.7 = 2.84PR

400rwhp * 2.84PR = 1136rwhp

make sense?

Nice #s indeed. Good call on getting a purpose built shortblock-your current setup is on borrowed time. I would HIGHLY recommend a 6 bolt head setup at those levels as well.

Awesome dude....... who would have thought the GT88- less then 1300 bucks and lays down 1100+rwhp....... Not a bad deal I guess...lol. The GT91 has broken 1200rwhp already as well.....

I remember talking to you on the phone you said it would be a monster for such a budget priced turbo. Already thinking about upgrading end of this year lol

I have spoken with you before about something in this size. You recommended the HP-88, GT88, or GT91. In your eyes, which one is the better turbo? The price is pretty similar on all of them. I'm mainly looking at spool time between the 3.
