I got my replacement rocker arms last night. Interesting to compare the new version to the old ones that cracked. The design of the extrusion has changed in the area where I noticed the cracks.

Woke up nice and early this morning after soaking them in oil overnight and did my install. I coated the threads of the rocker fasteners with permatex threadlocking/sealing medium twist gel only after everything was clean and dry!

Back out in the garage for more wiring!

Worked my tail off yesterday to get everything back together and get the car running again. I think the wiring work paid off in the clean up department. I think the engine compartment looks 100% better. I ended up switching my feed and return lines to the rear of the bay. With just the crossover up front it looks simple. Next plan is to upgrade the fuel system. I removed my 044 helper pump, and i'm just running the 255 in tank right now. Hope you all like the improvements!

I have been continually trying to diagnose oil accumulation on the #7 & 8 spark plug threads. This weekend I set up a little experiment to see if maybe the crankcase pressure was over running the vents. I purchased a engine diagnostic pressure gauge and some tubing and hooked the gauge up to one of the valve cover outlets with a small filter. I was happy and sad to see that the crankcase wasn't being overcome by pressure under boost. I ordered a crane valve spring compressor tool, comp viton valve seals, and a seal installation tool last night. I plan on changing the #7 & 8 valve seals Wednesday night.

Got some new toys in the mail yesterday! Finally broke down and purchased a Crane Cams valve spring compressor to inspect my #7 & 8 intake/exhaust valve stem seals. Also purchased a seal installation tool and a set of Comp Viton seals. Very nice pieces imho.

After inspection I found that the passenger side seals were both shot. One was completely torn the other was cracked. Drivers side seemed a little hard, but no rips or tears. Hopefully this will solve my wet plug thread issue! Find out tonight.

Also received my new fuel pressure regulator. Big boy Magnafuel special ordered in Black! I will be piecing my new fuel system together slowly. Going to go with an MP4303 pump!

Damn got some nice goodies going in there.

Is this car done for this year or will you have it out again?

I will drive it as far into the fall as possible. Trying to keep my down time to a minimum and fix all the little small issues before I put it away. I'm hoping the winter months will bring a 4L80 swap, a new fuel system, and perhaps a fabricated rear end. We will see what money and time allows. I'm taking it out tonight as soon as I get home from work to evaluate the valve seal fix. I'm hoping I can close out this chapter. I've been tracking this issue for a while now.

I didn't know you could get the magnafuel in black. But...the purple on my MF regulator does match my ID2000 injectors nicely! We chatted about the ID's once and no doubt these are the cleanest idling injectors you could ever ask for. I'm running E85 with the MF4303 pump. By the way good luck.

The ID2000 injectors are where it's at. I'm planning the same exact setup that you have. I'd like to get the car running on E85 next year too. What are you doing for a fuel tank?

I bought the nasty performance tank with the in tank pump. Not real happy with it but there wasn't much option. I wanted the pump to be quiet as possible. The intank is louder I think because you can't rubber mount and baffle the thing. I am waiting to Dyno this next week. I have had my Dyno time pushed out 2 times now but once done I am going to modify the tank. Some how for more capacity and shut that pump up of possible.

I'm planning to either top feed the pump with a -12 suction tube, or bottom feed with a bulkhead. I figure what the hell. If it doesn't work I gotta do something else. Worth a try though.

After work yesterday I was able to take the car out for a cruise. Afterwords checked the plugs. #8 is dry! no more oil mess. #7 was a little damp. I'm going to give it a couple runs to clean the intake out. I know a decent amount of oil was reverting up into it with the bad valve seals. In other news got this in the mail!

Say no more!

You will love the auto. Do it once and right. Get a level 3 or 4 from Jakes Performance.

Drove the car to work this morning. Brought my plug wrench. Just went out to check, and #7 plug is completely dry now too. End saga.

Finally bit the bullet. I have started collecting parts for my winter projects. They will include;

Rear end
4L80 swap
Fuel system

I have been stalking this 9" rear for a while now, and purchased it from a member yesterday. I will need to make a few minor modifications, but I feel it was a great purchase.

I'm also going to get this gem as part of the deal!

Finally I got some of the fittings I purchased to plumb my regulator with. I'll be slowly piecing my fuel system and 4L80 swap parts together.
