progress looks good, should haul the mail once all together. Those turbo headers look real nice and will give that engine bay a super clean look once all done. Do you plan on coating them or running as is?

I was thinking about having them ceramic coated depending on the cost...they will probably generate a significant amount of under hood heat and the collectors come close to the accessory drive system.

Hi! I didn't have time to read the entire thread, but I wanted to put this out here. If you need a good dipstick and don't feel like fighting the Lokar, we offer a dipstick for the 4L80E transmission in a F-body. It is a steel-locking dipstick with a steel dipstick tube. The price is $71.70 plus shipping. If you're interested, please call me at 225-673-3533.

I tried searching in this thread, but how are you controlling the 4L80e?

Long time no update...made a fair amount of progress, I'm close to putting the engine back in. I kind of wanted to finish up all the little odds and ends and have that be the last piece to the puzzle. Plus, I decided to give keeping the swaybar one last whirl so I need the engine on the stand until I finish welding.

Got my dual Walbro GSS340's installed...modifying the stock fuel pump basket was kind of a pain. I'd like to thank the genius engineer who opted not to put a trap door in the trunk pan.

All my gauges are wired up...electronics/wiring isn't my forte, so thankfully my EE buddy was there to help. Between the boost controller and wideband gauge/sensor, there was quite a bit of stuff to do. Probably small potatoes for most of you.

My OCD is causing that single black ring'd gauge to really bother me. I may have to do something about that.

I decided to make my intercooler bracket a little more sturdy just to be safe. I spent more time on this thing than I care to admit.

My blowoff valve has been nicely TIG welding to the intercooler.

Modular Turbo alternator relocation bracket...very nice piece!

I received the two wiring pigtails I needed for my auto trans conversion from GMPD today, so I hope to have the rewiring for my shifter done this weekend and my auto pedals and shifter installed, and the interior back together.

Looks good man. How difficult was the Tru boost to hook up?

It wasn't too bad, but I haven't hooked up the solenoid yet, or any of the vacuum/boost lines since the engine isn't in. The Innovate gauge/LC1 sensor was a little more involved - there were some very specific grounding instructions. It has a calibration button and an LED light too (which I drilled the gauge pod for as seen in the pics). Nothing TOO insane, but wiring isn't my forte and I gloss over when I see a wiring schematic

Well...small update.

I decided to try once more to keep the swaybar, and I think I'll be able to do it.

As you can see in the last pic, there isn't a whole lot of room for the wastegate plumbing between the merge and the crank pulley so I will probably plumb it on the other side and position it somewhat towards the passenger side merge pipe. Hopefully that'll be OK. My rough measurement is that there is ~17.75" from the steering rack to the radiator support, and if that's the case, it'll clear.

I haven't made much other progress over the past two weeks. It's been stupid hot here and it has pretty much killed any desire I've had to work on the car outside, so unfortunately, the project is further delayed. There's only a couple more things I need to finish and the engine can go back in so hopefully I can knock it out soon.

I'm dying to get the car on the road.

Well my turbo plumbing is finally 100% complete. I ended up having to cut a portion of it out and re-fabricate some of the passenger side as it didn't quite line up for some reason. Maybe when I welded the wastegate plumbing into the merge it changed ever so slightly, who knows. So that kind of sucked. But a couple hours of work and it fits like a glove and is all wrapped up in DEI titanium heat wrap.

Just need to finish wiring for the A4 swap, bang out the trans tunnel a bit, and it will all go back in!

Thanks! Getting close(er). I still need to get my power steering lines re-done, finish the A4 wiring, and pound out the trans tunnel. Little things, but time consuming.
