So here is my list and tell me if I have anything i dont need or something I should add to the list, basically just critique it for me. My goal is 700whp+ as cheap as possible.

Turbonetics TC76 or TC78
Tial 38mm wastegate
60 lb injectors (motron, siemens, etc) any brand suggestions??
Tial 50mm blow off valve
Twin walbro pumps
CX racing intercooler ( I had good luck with these on subbys)
GM MLS head gaskets for 6.0
ARP head and main studs
ARP rod bolts
LS6 oil pump
LS6 intake
Ported tb (suggestions to use ported stocker for ls6 or go with a NW's etc)??
TR224 cam

I was going to try and keep them factory maybe get a better set of rings for the pistons. I heard that is a common failure on boosted stock bottom end builds.

I would do a lot more homework. Those bottom ends have way more failure points then just rings....

Some seem to be fine with just arp rod bolts on a stock bottom end if he isn't pushing too much boost. Also depends on how healthy his block is and how he drives it I suppose.

OP, I'm selling some brand new arp rod bolts(pro 2000) and arp head studs if you are interested. Getting a forged engine package and the vendor is supplying these.

I would say its the Ring lands more then the rings them selves, and thats part of the piston.

Best of luck OP

I plan it to be not crazy boost and it will be a street strip more street car. The whole engine has 50k on it and came from an older guys car who bought it to have a newer camaro, not to beat the *** off of it. My plan is to do what I can with a stock bottom end, if it blows I'll build something else.

OP, you can look at my current build(in sig). Very similar to yours, but I ended up getting a 44mm Tial WG. I also decided during the tear down to go forged instead of going 8lbs on the stock bottom end.

Ok so maybe a set of Ross or cp pistons are in order to cure the ring land problem.

Ring lands are only going to be an issue if you're getting pre detonation, correct?

Oh - just read you're shooting for 700+RWHP. You're gonna have to crank the boost up for that.

Ok thanks willizm, and thanks for the input so far guys, like I said this is just a list im compiling based on suggestions and input from threads on here. I would like to see 700 whp or close to that which will require some more boost. I have no issue with doing forged rods and pistons, im just being budget minded.

Yeah brother I was in the same boat. Planning on forging the bottom end next year and tryin to adhere to a budget. Once I has the engine bay stripped down it just seemed worth the extra money to pull the engine nag go forged. Plus it's piece of mind that it would hold up without that lingering doubt intge back of my mind.

As far as I understand the stock crank is pretty strong. I'm keeping the stock crank.

Ok cool then forged rods and pistons will be on my list to. I'll check the crank out when I tear it all down. Also what are you boosted guys doing to beef the valvetrain up?

using stock rockers, but upgraded the needle bearings with the comp trunion upgrade. I think the lifters are fine, but I'll let someone else chime in on that. Also using the patriot gold spring kit in the 317 heads.
