Default boost, compression and pump gas

Hey guys, im going to be installing a supercharger on my car soon, its an mp112 maggie, ive got an 02 ls1, stock heads, lpe gt2-3 cam, 1 3/4" lt's, 90mm tb w/jtube, a 2.9" pulley, no cats, 3" slp loudmouth exhaust, 60# injectors and innercooler. its stock compression ration also. I was wondering if I was putting about 8-10 pounds of boost would i need to use an octane booster or run race gas?

Good luck with your install. My new mp112 GTO kit should be here next week so I will be installing one soon too. I don't think you will have to run any booster in it if it's tuned well. I'm kinda wondering how much boost mine is gonna make and how well the stock ls1 will tolerate it.

10.5:1-11:1 AFR your good, any higher I recommend you start taking timing out, or running octane booster. Your tune should probably start out of the hole with 7* timing and go up to 15-17* at max rpm.

Don't run octane booster it actually creates excess carbon build up in the combustion area. It's all in the tune and 93 octane should be plenty. Also you might check into meth inj for a Lil added security. Good luck

I went with the GTO kit with 1:1 rear pulleys and 3.0 front. My LS1 is a dead stock 99 right now with long tube headers. The dealer said it should be good for around 8psi with my motor.

That truck system is huge! I take it you are running the truck front drive belt system? I am hoping the GTO with the modified TB I got will clear the stock hood...I think It's going to be real close.

id say you would end up with 460hp to the wheels or so, ive got full bolt ons, no cats, and an lpe gt2-3 cam, so im figuring a little over 500.
