Turbo build at Slowhawk Performance (Build is DONE so pics will be coming fast!!!!!!!!
And dyno results are in!)----------
I have a turbocharged 99 trans am.
The car drove in as this:
TTI street kit (log manifold on driverside with manifold on pass side crossed over)
t76 turbo .96 A/R (on center t4 housing)
Stock 6.0 shortblock from 2004 hd chevy 90,000k miles
stock ls1 intake
Ported stock TB
selfported 317 heads
F-11 cam
31x12x3 air to air intercooler
38mm turbo smart wastegate.
3 inch down pipe
4l60e a4 ,3.42 gears
Dyno is a Mustang dyno, At Slowhawk Performance (sponser on here)
15 psi baseline , It made 491 rwhp and 549 rwtq 93 octane, 13 degrees on timing , no meth 11.5 afr (graphs coming)
NEW BUILD consist of a Garrett TV7401 71mm inducer 102mm exducer .75 A/R compressor side, .96 A/R T6 "tang" Ex housing
4 inch down pipe
victor jr intake with edelbrock ultra low profile elbow
New hot side , cold side
31x12x4 Air to air intercooler
flipped Truck manifolds.
46mm precision wastegate
50mm tial bov
With the new kit and turbo, same dyno, no other changes then the above mentioned, on 93 octane, no meth, 16 degrees of timing and 11.5 afr
the car made 630 rwhp and 639 rwtq on 13.5 psi ! and NO loss in spool time.
I know it shows full boost at 3700 but i punched it late on the dyno and it was set to start recording at 3k

Ya I'm going to insert some comments by some pics. but we cut the core support , upper and lower, use square tubing to build the lower and upper radiator support bars. used stock fans and radiator. and bolted the hood latch to it, and the intercooler support bar. worked perfect!
As far as the ls6 question, i don't know, but i do know on my previous setup i saw no loss going from an ls6 back to a stock ls1. at least not enough to compensate for the 350$ i got for my ls6 haha. I got a steal on my vic jr and elbow ,Jumped on it.

victor jr setup is a "cant go wrong" setup IMHO. performance AND looks.
Also the ultra low profile elbow was modified by gutting out the divider on the inside. After all was said and done, plugs are still perfect and uniform, so sofar so good.

That ,along with the constant cracking and rewelding, promted me to want to switch up to a custom truck mani kit.
NOTE: The TTi kit was the original version and was a very old kit. I purchased it used 2 years ago.
