Default Will A 96-98 mustang cobra procharger d1sc Mount up to an Fbody kit?

Im curious i know someone selling a D1SC kit for a 96-98 mustang cobra, And its reverse rotation. Now would this D1SC mount up to an ls1 bracket with np? I been looking online. And from what i can see i would thing so. Then i read a post talking about different mount angels. And what not. So now i wasn't sure. If anyone knows. let me know! thanks

Physically it would mount up. It is reverse rotation so your car would be spinning it backwards, it wouldn't oil correctly due to the different positioning of the oil slinger for different clocking, and thus would not work on your car at all.

it won't work... the cobra's are non-reverse (normal?) rotating SC's.

4th gen's are reverse rotating.

Personally don't know if a Cobra supercharger is reverse rotation or not, but its easy to tell. Look at the supercharger with the pulley towards you and the impeller away, if the volute housing points to the left and is located at the top of the supercharger, its standard rotation, if it points to the right, its reverse. Keep in mind the volute can rotate 360 degrees so you may have to imagine rotating it around if the pictures you have don't show the housing outlet at the top. Then of course you need to look on Prochargers website for the correct location of the oil slinger, but this can be changed by Procharger relatively cheaply, we had an F2 changed for around 300 bucks I believe.

well from what i was told from the owner it is a reverse rotation D1SC, and knowing i need a reverse rotation. And a search online shows a reverse rotation for 96-98 mustangs. I would think it would work, As long as it really is a reverse rotation like he says. I was more less wondering if there would be any other reason on why it would not work. I mean if its a D1SC reverse rotation. Its a D1SC reverse rotation right? or is there other things that play a factor?

As like shown on this site. This would be reverse because it faced inward right? Or am i just totally wrong? i sure can be im new to all of this, Why i'm asking. Any help is much appreciated,

The 98-98 4.6 Mustang Cobra's are reverse rotation as are the 98-02 LS1 F Body. The oil slinger will have to be repositioned if you decide to buy the blower.
