I don't remember seeing any truck manifold kits that allowed you to keep the sway bar.

You can't shop for a Ford Focus and compare performance data to a Corvette.

But Rob can sell you that Corvette too......

What he said LOLOLOLOL ROFL

Yes we have the corvette version its called the CBR F2 kit and it's 10 G's
AND you keep the sway bar, A/C, alternator, cooling system, and everything else in the stock location.

I just jizzed in my pants that kit looks sexy. So what would need to be done to keep the sway bar? I bought the kit and have a really nice aftermarket sway bar and just wanting to get it out there on what it would take to keep it and what are the pros and cons to keeping the sway bar vs deleting it.

I'll will look into what it will take to try and keep the sway bar.
I can't promise anything but I'll look into it tomorrow.

I drive a bone stock 107K mile LT1 T/A as my DD and one day doing a oil change I noticed
one of the end links where missing. I replaced the missing one and the remaining one with a new set.
To be honest I didn't notice that much difference.

Don't you think that by placing the turbo in the North to South direction, that you are actually using more tubing than the 'traditional' West to East?

Or were you just placing it that way so that the down pipe would be easier to fab and thus maybe saving you time?

I think man focus was to also allow the kit to retain the radiator and stock fans in the stock location therefore the user wouldnt have to buy a new radiator and fans.

Mounting it East/West wouldn't allow me to keep the stock fans and radiator in the stock position.

If I had done it that way the compressor housing would have to be about centered
with the crank pulley in order to give me the room to make the turn to get the down
pipe over the K-member where the A/C used to set.

This would push the turbo into the fans forcing me to stand the radiator up and run pusher fans like everyone else.

I do thing different than everyone else.

There is about a 12"-18" more pipe doing it this way but it has it's advantages.

The main one is not having to mess with the fans and radiator.
The other is wastgate placement.
The wastgate placement and merge angle is damn near perfect.

I agree. Everyone bitches there are no budget turbo kits out there and someone delivers and guess what? More bitching. I can understand why people don't do budget kits, this thread is a great example.

I have the utmost respect for these guys and their skills. I wish I had half of it.

If you don't like something in the kit, for 499 buy it and change it. If you aren't smart enough or have enough talent to change it you probably shouldn't be bitching about it in the first place.

I'm going to go to McDonalds in the morning and buy off the dollar menu. Then when I get to the window I'm going to bitch that the McMuffin is too small and that I can't keep my AC or sway bar.

Out.

Having a gto blows, damnit. I would love to be able to just bolt something on. I need motivation. Or someone to make a set of these for a gto with no ac.

I think things are getting a little out of hand. I think some tempers got flared up and I hope things can get back on track before the mods get involved.

I think Chris is trying to do something on the cheap for people and he is getting frustrated because people are picking it apart.

People are going to have to give up something, A/C and sway bar in this situation to keep your stock fans and not have to hack up your front radiator support.

Well I guess you can have it all but it costs a lot more money.
