Default best cam for PD roots blower?

so. i think my lifters are going out, and since i am going to have to pull the heads i might aswell get it ready for boost (am planning on boosting it next year with a maggie)

so i am thinking of getting some 317s down to 70cc, ls7 lifters, and i need to know what cam is best for a roots type blower?

my friend recommended the etmc blower cams?

any others?

haha, it is but the epp cam is better off with a procharger.vortech type blower since the cam will be good for higher revs

sean said the etmc blower cam was made specific for PD blowers

but i cant find the specs on it anywhere

We used this cam in a Hummer H2 back at the old shop that we built for a customer in Saudi Arabia, with a Maggie 2300.

IMO big cams bleed off too much power from a maggie (which already struggle on bigger than 5.3l), I ran 2/10ths faster and gained back 1-2 psi with a LEP GT2-3 in my old lq9 with a 122HH , then with a 22x/23x blower cam..so my vote is a ls9 cam or similar or a GT 2-3

There's a thread titled "Blower Cam" down the page a bit. Pat G shared a few of his thoughts. I'd get him to spec me a cam if I were in the OP's shoes. The LS9 cam isn't worth the wrench time it takes to install it. The only redeeming quality I can see that it has is the price. Believe it or not, there are bigger cams that will out perform that cam and still have excellent manners. Bob's cam is a good one, just a little bigger than I'd want to fool with. A big cam is not going to make more power than a milder cam with a TVS on top. If you need the lope, go for it. Just don't expect it to make more power compared to a milder cam.
