Default 408 twin turbo - which cathedral head?

Looks like i will step up to some thick deck heads and i'm looking at a few right now but need some direction please...which brand and what size runner? Here is the combo: 408" iron truck block, pinned mains, pyramid head gaskets (andreas), twin precision 6765's, 238/243 604/612 at 115, 9.0 comp, ls6 intake and th400. More info in sig if needed.... Not looking to break the bank but want a good head that can help me max out these turbo's and maybe go larger turbo later. Also, not overly concerned with low end torque because this is a street car with limited traction down low anyway. Thanks for any help! tracy

Just curious, but why do you think that's to much head?

those are some really nice heads. They are six bolt for future growth and your turbos wont care if they have a 225 235 or 245 intake runner.

Killer heads but it looks like i would have to change my shaft rockers and intake manifold. Correct me if i'm wrong. I might look into the ls3 intake/rockers just to give me an idea on price. thanks

they are still cathedral port heads, but yes they require the ls3 style rockers which mast has available or you can use stock. Im not saying the other heads wont do the job, but the mast/ PI/lxr/etp heads would be my number one choice.

If my intake would fit, that would be a huge plus for that head.... rockers are not that pricey. Thanks blue

Trickflow 220 as cast heads for a budget thick deck head with decent flow. Have Brian Tooley do a little hand blend bowl work for a few bucks extra.

It all depends on your budget. I wouldn't go ape **** with heads. With your setup you could put 317s on and still make more power than you can use. I'm running as cast Darts and have never complained of not having enough power. I have less than $1500 wrapped up in my heads including the combustion chamber work. -- just another budget friendly option.

hey frank, that is cheap! Unless i find a nearly new set of heads (used) that have already been tricked out, i'm just going to slap a thick deck set on the new motor. Thanks guys!

My vote goes for the prc 237 heads. Thats the head I went with on my 408 front mount build.

Thanks guys! I'll prob just do what phil is saying.... Keep it simple and just turn up the boost a little more. The patriot's i have flow pretty well, i just need a thick deck to keep it together.

On a side note, i just received my Cooper Ring head gaskets from andreas in sweden. Not cheap for a head gasket but if it holds the boost, it's worth twice that amount.

You may also want to consider World heads. They have six bolt heads for the high boost cars.
