Default TU1 vs. TU2

TU1 225 225 .581 .581 113
TU2 236 236 .587 .587 112.5

for a 370 motor where would these two cams make peak power at?
Also, how much power would you be giving up by going with the smaller cam?

I know you dont need a big cam for a turbo but if im giving up a bunch of power thats a problem lol.

I currently make 600rwhp with 9psi and ls6 cam, just wanting a larger cam to gain power without upping the boost, and want a "meaner" idle as well.

I have two same builds with the 370 and TU1 I plan on switching one out for a TU2 to see the difference between the two later on in the fall. I know this doesn't help now but I have been wondering also if I am leaving some on the table.

What turbo and power level? Up to a single 76 and 900rwhp you're not leaving much if anything on the table with the TU1.

TU2 has made 1150+rwhp with twin 67's for reference.

Would it make a difference for a larger motor? 390 or 408?? Or more of just the HP desired.

What turbo and power? It depends on the combination.

For instance, TU1 and 76GTS on stock displacement will make over 900rwhp.

Run the same 76GTS on a 408 and it will choke due to backpressure before it hits 900rwhp regardless of the cam.

Well ultimate goal is that 1000rwhp mark on race gas, but would be ran more often on pump gas.

Just a s475 now but would be a s480+ later on

Ive got a TU1 going on a AFR Headed 370 with t6 88mm deal, should I have stepped up a bit. Im sure it will be functional. But the motor isnt in the car yet and i could still make a change if needed.

I went with a TU1 and am shooting for 750whp on built 5.7 ls1 bottom end. You have a few more cubes so you might benefit from a TU2. Not sure though, call speed inc and ask. I'm sure they'll point you in the right direction.

I guess I'll call them here in a few days...I'm sure the TU1 is good for the 370 but this winter I will be going to a 390 and don't know if the extra size will need the TU2 or not.

I only want to buy it once lol
