LSX alternator relocation kit
with a CS130 alternator. I believe it is short enough to fit in front of the head.
If we go this route I will need to make a new bracket and tensioning system using a idler
pulley.
Or if you don't mind the look we can fab a TB adapter about 1/4 thick that will rotate
the TB so the TB motor is at about the 10:00 o-clock position, it's at 9:00 now.
The adapter would be free if you pay for the shipping.
I would need your TB and the mounting bolts for this.
Let Rob know how you would like to handle this.
Either way we will get you up and running!!
Any tips on the alternator wire and plug? That wire is so damn thin I worry about pulling it out of the harness.
If you have decked heads and thin head gaskets the 17mm bolt that goes at the bottom of the head will be impossible to start because the hex head will hit the water pump gasket.
Some printed instructions would be really nice because some of us don't want our laptop sliding to the ground because we are a 6'7" clutz and everytime our hand slips or a bolt loosens suddenly our elbows cause mass distruction across the known landscape. (I did manage to catch my laptop).
The two bolts that mount the adjuster are too short. I could not even get the nuts onto the nylon by hand and I think the one on the bottom stripped because when I tried to take it off, it freewheels but the nut will not come away from the bolt and "rod end".
Today I am gonna take that whole bracket back of the car and see if I can seperate them. Then comes pulling and rerouting the fuel pump harness and alternator cable and wire.

by mistake?
The 2 bolts that bolt the adjuster to the bracket are 3/8, 1 is 3" long and the other is 3.1/4" long The 3.1/4" long one bolts the adjuster to the bracket and the other bolts the adjuster the alternator.
The lock nuts have no Nylon in them, they are "stove" nuts.
A stove nut is a lock nut that the top has been deformed a little.
I'll post a few pic's to help you out.
You can clearly see the top of the nut is deformed, don't start the bolt into this end.

Here is a pic of the back of the nut, this is the end you start the bolt.

Now all I need to do is get a few feet of 3/8" fuel/emissions hose and relocate the catch can.
