You should come to our Cruise in @ Mayhew Chevy in Romney next month. My car will be finished and will be there with the shop that's building the turbo kit. We'll see how a 408 and a TH400 does with a 91mm.

Giving up on the 8-rib belt and switching to a cogged setup and adding bracing to keep the blower bracket from flexing has basically eliminated any belt issues I think.
Just my .02 cents. You should go auto first with your S/C set-up properly to see how you like it on the street and how much time you drop at the track. I have had more fun on the street with my TH-400 than I ever did with the six speed. If you are not satisfied then move on to a turbo set-up. I would also think that some of your belt issues will be diminished or disappear with an auto set-up.

Belt issues should be a thing of the past on F-bodies.

And the price of that guy's setup isn't cheap. I'm done spending money on solving belt issues with a Supercharger. I have my bracket braced good now and it seems to be good.

With my 80e it makes spooling my little 76mm easy as cake. At 2600-2800rpm I am out of vacuum and by 3000 im in a pound. By 3500 I'm at 6-7 pounds and by 3800 where I launch I'm at 8-9. 4000rpm 11#'s and it comes really quick, I don't ever notice it at the track only on the highway,.

Even with the belt situation fixed it will always be in the back of your mind as a big what if. Turbo solves that really easy. I don't think you need to go that big on your turbo choice unless you want to really run outlaw dr. MM has a 91mm turbo and he can turn the wick up to 1300whp which hasn't been needed yet to run 8.5x's with a 3750# car.

I think a PTE 88 will be more than enough for what you want.
