Exclamation Track Times for QMP Turbo Formula!!!!!

Today was just an "okay" day. Lots of issues, but where do I start?

First of all, the track was a MESS! Dirt all over it, slick, etc. It was like racing on a dirt track...literally. There were plenty of LS1Tech members there who will vouch for that.
The track was PACKED! No chance of getting a cool run after the first run. It took me over an hour and a half to get through the staging lane!
The first pass I made, which was my highest 1/8mph, the clocks didn't work right so it didn't give me a 1/4 mph. Figures....

I did just as I had said I would....I left the line basically at idle on every run. My average 60ft out of 4 runs was a 2.10, with a 2.05 being the best of the day. I granny shifted the rest of the way down the track. The car was REALLY loose all the way from the 1/8 to the 1/4. Several LS1Tech people witnessed it still spinning at the finish line, and getting sideways.

I've attached the timeslips below in order. The first and second runs were at 11lbs of boost, with an AF Ratio of 11.1:1 crossing the traps.
The 3rd run was set at 13.5lbs of boost, but the car was loose in 3rd and I missed 4th badly. I'm a dork.
The 4th run was also set at 13.5lbs of boost, but the car bogged and nearly died on the launch (resulting in the worst 60ft of the day, a 2.14). AF was 12.7:1 crossing the traps on that pass.

We couldn't get in any more runs so we loaded up and went home while the car could still pull itself on the trailer.

Everything is still in one piece...stock tranny, stock rear end, stock driveshaft, stock motor. And 136+mph at only 11lbs of boost! All in all, I'm still pretty happy.... We did get video of every run, but I'm too tired to download it all right now. But I will this weekend....

Nice results. Cant wait to see what it can do with a nice launch and a stickier track. But I dont know what you are complaining about it being packed; you got 4 runs in within 3 hours. That is impossible here; more like 3 runs in 9 hours.

I said 11.3 at 131....do I ge a prize?
Good first run though, obviously more in it . Good MPH for the times (duh). I will bring my car down to your shop and look over the turbo kit when I get a chance...its at tuning now and then I can install the nitrous. I would love to do a side by side run on the road to see the characteristics of your turbo set up compared to a nitrous set up. I still think turbo is the ultiate way to go for a real fast street car, just kina costly. Good work and research...I imagine that thing kicks down hard at 70 mph on the highway!

Congrats Rob. I didn't know a person could drive a f-body that fast on dirt. The track was to bad to run on but the good ole edgewater boys did thier usual thing which is to let the race cars clean off the track. It was funny to watch a car get out of the groove and then see a cloud of dirt go up just like driving on a dirt road. Get a rear end in that thing and come on up to Norwalk with the COFBA boys.

Glad he didn't get out of the "groove" and into the dirt.

the track was horrible, rob is not lying on that one, i never once saw them spray anything on the track or sweep any of that 4in rubber off of the staging lanes. had a buddy that was there and only ran once in 3 1/2 hours. to many ricers and grand prix there to do anything, you were lucky to get those runs in, pays when you are there when the gates open. Rob you are the man. Good to finally meet you and see your car. wish you would have had a 12bolt!! keep up the R&D

Congratulations. It's one thing to post dyno numbers, it's nice to see you take it to the track and back up your product/work. Made me laugh a little looking at your timeslips, you were actually cutting decent lights even though you were out there just to test and tune.

I can't believe they didn't prep the track. All those paying customers and they could clean the dirt off. Hey Rob, when you go again, try Indy. I know there track is good and I think it is a shorter drive.

The 7 sec @167 was a rail. Rob it took big ***** to stay in it at the big end. A ton of the fast cars were backing out of it because of the dirt (and later oil in the right lane). I guess they were afraid of a little thing called the wall. I'm sure Edgewater is appreciative of your help in blowing the dirt off the track. If you come again next week and clean it the rest of the way it will be clean for the year. Smokinhawk, it was nice to finally meet you. Sorry we didn't talk much, I looked around the bikes but couldn't find you again.

Thanks guys! It was really nice meeting everyone also, as well as seeing some of the "old" faces again.
Like I said, I'm going to try and post a video later tonight. It's hard to understand just how slow the car actually left the line without seeing it. After watching the videos last night on my TV, I can't even believe it ran an 11 anything, much less 136mph! I've seen school buses leave harder.

I'll post up later when I get the videos downloaded.
