Default Brute Speed Blower Cam

Thought I would post this up for the guys thinking about purchasing the Brute Speed Blower Cam Package. I got the cam package in preparation for my procharger. Car has Mac midlengths, ory, lm2, the cam package and a k&n air filter. Everything else is bone stock, even stock lid. Car made 392.9 sae rwhp and 374.2 sae rwtq. May have made more but the stock injectors are maxed out and are currently set at 93% duty cycle. This was done on a dynomite dyno. Cant wait to get the procharger and supporting mods and really make some power. Sorry I cant post the graph because I dont have a scanner. Thanks to Bob at Brute Speed and the nice people at Pro Dyno Tech.

Thanks. The tuner thinks with some tb porting and larger injectors it may make around 410rwhp. Im debating if I should do that or just run it how it is now and upgrade everything when the time comes for the procharger.

cool cool, I also run this cam NA. Although not optimal, it sounds great and runs solid. I went 11.99 @ 118 with it. made 407/367 on one dyno, 385/347 on another. Tq isn't exactly stellar but the sound is wicked and should comply with a blower once I get the funds!

Yea I think for a cam that's spec'd for FI it performs pretty well in NA platforms. Like you said torque isnt perfect, but the cam really shines in higher rpm. I can't wait to get mine to the track and get some times before I slap the blower on it.

There are a few things you can do to up the power, port the primaries on the mids, cut off the collector and weld on a 3 inch vband, SVO greentops, ported tb, true duals. Will get you over 400 comfortably

I've seen this cam make great torque with centris all day long. That's what I love about it. I've seen centri setups make over 600wheel and low 500torque, but every build I've seen with this cam makes great torque, to compliment the great horsepower. That's why it's going to be the cam of my choice for my build as well.

Skydiver has a CTS-V that makes 400 ft lbs of torque at 2000 rpm with this cam, then builds from there. His V makes 864 rwhp at only 12.4 psi of boost with an F-1A. Here is a link to pic's of his V. http://s478.photobucket.com/albums/r...sCTS-V-117.jpg Bob
