Default 68 Camaro AES 410" LSX F1R Build

Well I thought I would start a build thread now. I have been working on this car for 2+ years I had a change of plans about 10 months ago thanks to this section and decided to go FI so I ripped out the LQ4 and T-56 and started over. The car is an original SS 396 car and I have been careful to retain everything to put it back stock if the need arises. Enough talk on to a few pics which I will update over the next month or so as I finish up the car.

The power comes from an AES 410" LSX shortblock with the following: Callies Magnum 3.8 crank, Callies Ultra Billet Rods, CP Pistons, LSA heads worked over by Richard at WCCH, and last but not least a Procharger F1R.

Trans is a 4L80 built to Jakes specs with all 300m shafts and Jake's valve body and brake with a billet 3500 converter.

Let me know what you think it has been a long time coming I expect north of 1000hp and I know there will be plenty of talk about the 4 bolt heads but I decided I would see just how far we can push the LSA heads.

This thing is gonna haul the mail. Glad to see you made the switch to a 4L80E you will love the trouble free bullet proofness of knowing you have a tranny that can continuously take trans brake launches with 1000rwhp. I am interested in the LSA heads for my new build, what is the price range like on them? I was looking at LPE's LSA heads...

The LSA heads can be had for about what you pay for the L92 heads but the casting is much much cleaner I am into them for a litte more because I bought new valves instead of using the stockers. Check out Richard at WCCH he does some awesome work at very reasonable prices!!

I have been watching your progress that is one sick GTO you have!

I just bit the bullet and ordered a cage kit, I was on the fence but I figure I will put an 8.50 legal cage in it and go from there...more to come.
