on3 turbo
But... that leaves room to grow / improve, right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dq4-p51QfFk
Hope the link works.
Also, I run out of gear at 115 mph in 3rd. uggh. Enjoy!

Not so nice. WTF guys?
Hell, with the 4.10 gears, I can't get traction as it stands. It's kinda like a 2 phase setup I guess. I get all the low end torque out of the 3200 stall and 4.10 gears, and then once I get down the road, the Turbo kicks in. I'm telling myself that at least...I guess. lol
We'll see how things go on Friday at the track. Wish me luck. Any guesses on ET times and trap speed?
Example:
1/4 ET: 11.99 @ 115
1/8 ET: 8.00 @ 95
60 ft: 1.85

Yeah. I was happy to see the peak at 550 @6000 rpm and still pulling. Got dyno graphs today, only hp vs mph. Unfortunately none with hp vs. rpm and no cross referenced boost info.
Wrapping - No. Nothing really wrapped. Just what you see from the rear to cover the welded downpipe to exhaust tips and the turn into the turbo... Last 3 feet of pipe entering the Turbo (Muffler elbow), for looks. I've been thinking of wrapping it though... y pipe back to Turbo. Not sure how much that will help. I think I'm going to shoot some exhaust pipe temps from manifold to turbo... see what changes there are... Harbor Freight Laser Thermometer....
I have no idea the a/r on my holset but it has a 74mm turbine wheel , so I think going to a on3 should help out my spool time greatly
This is one of the main reasons I do not care for rear mounts. The couple times we have done rear mounts were all on rear engine cars
Other than that we try to avoid them. If I WERE to do one though, I believe I would use both ceramic coating (if you want to do it on the cheap Autozone has VHT...very high temp...paint) and header wrap. Stainless steel exhaust combined with ceramic coating and wrap would probably make a pretty big difference. This is one of the main reasons I do not care for rear mounts. I know about spool valves but unfortunately I cannot fit one in my setup , I made one into my holset but with it being DIY homemade I've had consistency issues with it , thereforei want to switch up to a turbo that will give me better spool times without a sp
