Motor is going back in the car this weekend, should have it running with a base tune in 2 weeks. I wont have any dyno numbers but probably a couple shakedown passes and some street pulls for tuning, i'll be sure to keep this thread updated with my results.... stock ls1 with arp rod bolts, ls6 intake, 60# injectors, truck manifold hotside, 4" down pipe. Running the journal bearing on 3 76mm with .81 hotside. oh and air to water intercooled.

I hope it will go 9s cause that's the goal with my car full interior ac and 9s. 700 to 750whp. If the 76mm rocks out then I'm gona go a twin 76bb setup on my 89 camaro project.

What makes you think it can't do 700? Not trying to insult or anything, just curious if you know something that I don't yet

Aren't the turbos rated to 750 "HP" meaning flywheel. No insult takin but am I missing something? Are these turbos rated for more then what they are listed at? Have you seen one of these turbo's make 750 to the wheels thru an auto?

This turbo is the same size as a TC76 (from what I remember), so it should be able to make at least 700 to the wheels with the right setup.

Definitely should be able to. If the tc76 does I see no reason why it can't.

The exducer on the turbine is 65mm, if this is equivalent to the F1-65mm exducer, then it should be able to make 700. IMO, its pretty well sized for a rear mount setup.

IF it's equivalent you are right. Im not going by what other 900$ turbos can put down just because they are both 76mm I'm just going by what tue turbo's say they are rated for. If they can put down 700 I'm all for it since I have one comin in the mail tomorrow.

not all 76mm's are equal! Turbine wheel size has a lot to do with the amount of power it will make and how well it spools.

What size exhaust housing are you guys going with? Also what happened to all the on3 products on ebay? There all gone but like 4 items last I checked. Have they ran out of stock? Or just not re-listing? I'm thinking of buying the 76mm to replace my precision 60mm.

It has a 65mm turbine. That makes the measurements pretty much identical to a TC76 (76mm incuder, 102mm exducer compressor) with a F1-65mm turbine wheel.

I got the .96 housing on mine. Hopefully it will spool fine in the rear on my 347. I really need some time to just put the whole thing together and get it running.

Read through this entire thread. I am interested in seeing this $700 ball bearing turbo for myself, but I can't seem to locate it on the ebay site.

Anybody got a direct link for it? Kindly post it if you find it..

Thanks!

Did anyone figure out what size restrictors are recommended for the ball bearing and the non ball bearing versions?

You don't run restrictors in journal bearing turbo's.
